Anything new for Christmas?

When does news usually come out for events during the Christmas time? I know they have already announced many of the speakers for the Candlelight Processional but has anyone heard anything else?

This will be our third straight year going down during the week after Thanksgiving and I'm nervous, since the Osborne Lights are no more, that I may be a bit disappointed. Not a fan of the Candlelight Processional and I'm not sure Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is worth the extra cost. I really do miss the Osborne Lights already.

The Mickey Christmas party was amazing and worth every penny. It was the most magical time I ever had at Disney. I am disappointed in the speakers for the candlelight this year, they need new people and hope they do something at DHS this year.

We went to the Christmas Party two years ago. I just cant imagine spending $400 for free cookies/cocoa, fake snow on main street, and a Christmas parade. We enjoyed it but I don't think we $400 enjoyed it... and we are the type to splurge on Deluxe resorts and signature restaurants.

We also got to watch Neil Patrick Harris in the Candlelight Processional. We love NPH but all he did was read from the bible (at least that is what it sounded like)- absolutely no variation to what he said versus any other speaker. I thought it would be more vague seasonal songs about giving, cheer, etc... but we felt like we were in a church service. To each their own on that one as I know a ton of non-Christians still enjoyed it.

I forgot about sleigh rides at Fort Wilderness. Hopefully they will announce something else.

Couldn't agree with you more!!

We are going down the same week! We're going to skip the candlelight processional because I don't think my sons (ages 4 and 2) would have a long enough attention span to sit nicely through it. We are going to do the MVMCP but we didn't do a park ticket for that day, instead we're going to check out Disney Springs in the morning, do lunch at T-REX, and head to Magic Kingdom for 4pm.
