Anything Left Behind

Have you ever left anything behind from your cruise? If so what was the value?

My DD lost a necklace onboard but fortunately it was found and turned into Guest Services...I on the other hand left my make-up kit in the bathroom when we went to breakfast on the last day. When I realized it I went back but the bathroom had been cleaned out already.

I clicked the wrong poll button..there was probably about $50 worth of make-up lost.

This past January I left behind a Mickey Mouse Watch (how appropriate!) - but it was a nice silver and gold one. I was very sad when I figured out that the last time I saw is was on the Magic...

DD#1 left her swim team hooded sweatshirt--we figured it out about a week after we got home when we had a cool morning--called DCL and they had it and mailed it to us. She had lost it on the MONDAY of the 4 day, left it in the club, and never realized it. You would think the counselors would say "hey, anyone here lose a Perrysburg swim team shirt?" but they were pretty full and busy that week.

some taxi driver on St. Thomas has gained my DH's sunglasses. Wouldn't be so bad, but he could have used them a few more days with that intense caribbean sun !

DD age 4, left behind her stuffed Bunny. Not Disney, but a favorite. It's value is priceless to her. I call DCL lost and found. We had sailed on the 3 night which returned on a Sunday. DCL told me that if he was found after the last passenger disembarked, that customs would not allow them to bring it off the ship. He would have to stay onboard until the next cruise disembarked. On Thursday I got a phone call telling me that our Blue Bunny had just arrived from his second cruise. He was found in our stateroom. They are mailing him back home. He's quite the traveler!

Does anyone know how long DCL keeps the lost and found items ?

I lost a pair of sunglasses on our July 26 cruise. I lost them on Thursday and did'nt realize it till Friday. When I went to check lost and found they told me had already been packed up. I forgot to check lost and found in the terminal. They are worth $50 or so, do you think they might still have them ?

I just called yesterday and the lost and found is moving, so it will take them a couple of weeks to research any lost items. My watch was left behind in January and she said that she thinks she has it, it sounds familiar. I will know in a couple of weeks! The number to lost and found for DCL is 407-566-3734. It helps them out if you know your cruise dates and the room you were in.
