You can even ride the bus from The Orlando International Airport to your hotel destination, but you have to change buses and it depends on the time that you are arriving. Because LYNX has some schedules that may run late at night, but not all the schedules are running past 7:00 PM Eastern Time.

The bus service is good. Just as any transportation system in town. Downtown Orlando is changing every day and there are some nice spots too see. Like The History Museum or if you plan to see NBA's Orlando Magic at TD Waterhouse, or take a walk into Lake Eola. I would consider it, besides the cost for a TAXI can be so high! A ride between the airport and Kissimme could go for over $40.00, while LYNX charges $1.50 per person and the transfer to a second bus is free. Hope this anwers your question!

thanks - are there any malls or stores in downtown orlando?

Not a mall. If you want a mall, I recomend The Florida Mall, but is not in Downtown Orlando. There are plans to build a mall, but would be 5 years from now!

Downtown is nice, but there wouldn't be a whole lot for a tourist to do unless you're interested in watching the Magic or walking around the park. At least not in the daytime. There's a large nightlife scene around Church Street on weekends. The Science Center and Art Museum are near downtown, but not in it. There really isn't a main shopping drag downtown. The closest one would be Park Avenue in Winter Park. My pick for best mall would be Millenia, near I-Drive.

If you do go downtown, stay on the east side of I-4 (where all the skyscrapers are.) Everything west of the highway is the ghetto, nothing you'd wanna see. The east side is pretty safe and nice looking though.

The Mall at Millenia is the closest one to downtown. There are plenty of night clubs (Paris, Tabu, etc.), TD Waterhouse is home of the Magic, there is the Bob Carr Center for the Performing Arts, Thornton Park, Lake Eola, the swan boats that you can rent and go around the lake, the bicycle drawn surrey cabs that take you around, the Comedy Improv Club, Leu Gardens and downtown historical center.
