I see that there is some kind of football/cheerleading thing going on the first week of December, and I guess DW will be crowded then. Soooo, my question is, is there anything special going on the week of Dec 9-17 that would make for heavy crowds? This will be our last trip for awhile, and I want it to be a special one, so I'm hoping for lite lite lite crowds. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hugz,

We will be there the same time. The Pop Warner football and cheer stuff will be finishing up that first weekend we arrive, but crowd predictions after that weekend are calling for a rather light week as far as I can tell. Saturday the 9th is supposed to be the most crowded day of our trip. There are some conventions (DH has one this week), but that's not a big deal in the parks so much.

We almost always go the second week of December and have been happy with how uncrowded the parks are in general. If it's a particularly warm day, you might see more action on the weekends. I assume it's local passholders coming out for holiday decorations and such.

We'll be there that week as well, and it's predicted to be light.

By the way, the Pop Warner crowds don't really affect the parks as much as you might think, at least during the day. Most of the teams are competing during the day.

Plus, they'll be gone the week that we're there!

We'll be there about the same time too! arriving on Sunday 12/10. We chose this time because of lower crowds and wonderful holiday season.
We'll be at the Christmas Party on 12/12. Hope that is not too crowded, should be perfect. Can't wait!

I wonder if Saturday is going to be busy because Friday is the last day of competition, so everyone is free to just hang out at the parks on Saturday. Maybe. I remember arriving at the Orlando airport last year on the Saturday after Pop Warner was over, and it was a MADHOUSE with folks going home. The security line was unbelievable.

Hi back atcha Mary!

I'm in the Dayton area....I think you are up where my relatives live (where my parents grew up).

Nice to get away from the yucky OH weather in Dec. and head down to FL, huh?

We will be there for 2 nights Dec 13 and 14th!! heading for a cruise on the 15th! :cloud9:

Crowd level supposed to be a 4! That is what we are hoping!

Doing AK on the 14ht in the morning and then MVMCP that night!

Can't wait! :cool1:

I will be there from the 8-12!!! I go this week every year. The parks usually aren't too bad. The weekends are pretty busy especially at MK. So we usually try to save MK for a weekday. You have alot of DVC owners there during this time because this is one of our lowest point times for DVC rooms. I wouldn't go another time of the year. I love the Holiday spirit wherever you go and the energy is sooo exciting.

Don't forget your lime green Mickeys on your room window!!!!

We arrive on the 10th also and will be at MVMCP on the 12th; first December trip. Hope the weather is very warm to get me through another winter in Pittsburgh. We were disappointed during our September trip to have Pop Warner celebration close MGM early. Hopefully nothing like that is planned for this time.
