Anything besides Axe products for boys?

I can't stand the strong scent of Axe products. I know boys love it but has anyone found a similar product line that is less obnoxious?

DH has used Suave for Men... it is VERY mild, maybe TOO mild for a grown man. Maybe nice for a boy. I believe Dove makes a bar soap for men now. Gillette body wash for men is also nice... it's DH's new favorite.

Thanks! I will have to check those out. I think it is hard to tell when you smell them in the store. Axe doesn't seem strong to me at all until my son drenches himself in it.

Yes, DH uses Axe as well, and I can smell it on his pillow LOOONG after he is gone for work! (I use it on my feet when they are )

This one works.

But you know what I found my boys liked (thank GOD!!) was Vanilla stuff. They loved it.

So I'd make a big deal about picking out their body wash. They loved smelling like Cinnamon Buns, and Vanilla Cupcakes. We'd go to Sephora - let them pick out a Philosophy one.

And this way - they actually smell good to everyone else, too.


ETA - and when my 14 y/o finally wanted a cologne, I sucked it up and bought him Geir. (from EPCOT - that Laila line) I told him I'd rather pay for something I wouldnt mind sniffing, than smelling AXE.

OMG...that's so funny you mentioned that my older son..(who is no teenager at 29)...came in wearing that the other night.
Reminded me of my dad.

My younger guy (18) has been wearing the cologne from Hollister lately.

The Axe & Tag stuff was too much for DS12's Asthma and my migraines so while I was searching around Christmas I discovered that Hollister has some really nice smelling deodorants in the Body Care line. They are more expensive at $9 each, but last a long time and don't smell nearly as strong. Much, much nicer IMO

My son has the same cologne (Jake), but he won't wear it. He doesn't want to "waste it".

Trust me, they'll make more.

The new mens line at Bath & Body works by Bigelow is really nice. Or you could dilute the axe with an unscented body wash. 2 to 1

DS uses "manly" body wash and shampoo, like Suave for Men. DH also bout ds cologne- Polo Black! He is good about using a dab.

DS has been using the Gillette body wash lately; the scent is fairly subtle.

Old Spice has apparently been targeting the youth market just lately, taking aim squarely at Axe. They have I think six different fragrance versions now.

The C O Bigelow line at B&BW is great. DH got hooked on this when I bought it for him at Christmas. They have several scents, but the Red Exlixer is the one he uses. It smells great!!! The only downside is that it is more expensive than products like Axe, Gillette, and Suave.

DD14 keeps trying to get DS14 to wear Old Spice. I just laugh because that is what my DAD wore when we were little.

Obviously you haven't been near a boys locker room lately-if he is wearing Axe he DOES smell like a locker room

Axe isn't bad--it is HOW MUCH THEY WEAR that is the problem. They use the body wash, body spray and deodorant and there is this FOG that hangs over them because of all the smell.

Both DS15 and DS7 like the Old Spice Body Wash. DS15's gym team teacher banned aerosals like Tag and Axe from the locker room. This stuff could give someone an asthma attack.

but you can get get coupons. And I really liked all of the scents in the line. DS likes the White the best which is hard to find.
