Anyone worried about meeting their room minimum?

hi!

i think that my room minimum is going to be about 50 nights!

many of my guests do not want to stay in a disney resort, they would prefer to stay in a cheaper hotel just outside disney.

do you think i would be able to 'sell' my room nights?

my wedding is hopefully 4th May 07 - does anyone think they may need some spare room nights?

what is the worst that can happen if you don't meet them - do you have to pay the lowest cost of the remainder of nights (if i picked a value hotel in my room block, would i pay 50 nights worth of this price?)

please help!

I think that most people are worried about this. The room block was one of the main reasons that we limited the guest list actually. If you don't meet your room block number (50 for you) then you must pay for the remaining nights at the lowest room rate which for you would be an All Star resort. If it doesn't look like you will meet the requirement post a message on this board to see if anyone would want to get in on it. Post earlier rather than later so people planning months out can help. hth

try not to stress over this. Post a thread over on one of the main forums and offer your rooms to other Dis members. They benefit and get a discount and then you do not need to worry. There are bound to be people traveling then. good luck

I was SO worried and I think we ended up with triple the number of nights we needed.

you'd be surprised. I sold the resorts by saying, you get free transportation to the airport, throughout disney and to and from our rehearsal & wedding. they don't have to spend extra $$$ renting a car. That sold it, and my guests have made a vacation out of it, some are staying 5 or more nights!
