Anyone work for Comcast? NEW QUESTION PAGE 3

I work for NBC & we received a ticket good for up to 4 people for a 1 day 1 park ticket. When I called ticketing about upgrading I was told we could not because it was a complimentary ticket. Hopefully the person I talked to was incorrect & we will be able to upgrade & go park-to-park. I will be sure to try every guest services & ticket agent I see!!

If it is the little purple voucher, then you can upgrade it...

Finally have a definitive answer. They can be upgraded to multi-day tickets. They might not scan as the full value of a one day one park ticket. I tried to find out exactly what value they scan as and couldn't find out as they need to have the actual ticket to scan it. I hope this helps.

So the purple voucher for up to 4 1-day tickets can be upgraded? Just wondering, do you know this from experience or were you told by somebody on the phone. i have called universal ticketing myslef & was passed up the food chain by 3 different people who said that they were not able to be upgraded.

Little Mermaid is correct. You do have to redeem the voucher first and then you can upgrade the tickets.

I feel your pain. I was also told the same thing by several people. I then talked to the people who actually redeem the voucher itself. It can be upgraded to park-to-park and multi-day tickets. You just have to the redeem the voucher itself and get the tickets. Then those tickets themselves can be upgraded.

Wow I think that answered most of my questions, Thanks ;)
I have a one more... So employees get 30% off on site hotel and tickets?
Hubby isnt a fan of Orlando and its easier to ask here then talk to him about what I know he can get LOL

Yes, the Employee discount is approx 30% at the hotels. The discount code can be found on the employee site, and the rate requires you show your Comcast ID to the front desk to prove eligability for the rate. (similar to the AP rates which require you show an AP).

The ticket discount I believe varies a bit depending on the length and type of ticket.

We just returned from our visit and we had a GREAT time! Just wanted to report back on our experience in hopes of helping other comcasters, and their families. We did have a little bit of an issue with the upgrades, but it was cleared up quickly. We upgraded our "Walk in the Park" passes to "2 day, 1 park" passes for $42.99 + tax for adults and $37.99 + tax for child. For 3 adults and 1 child the total with tax was $177.83. This is before the recent price raise.... but there shouldn't be much difference.

At first, they tried to tell us that we could not upgrade the ticket because it was comp. I told her I read on this board that she had to redeem the certificate, then she could upgrade the tickets. Then she said it would be 69 per person, then a few seconds later she said she was sorry but would be 89 (approx) My husband (the actual comcast employee) stepped in, and said he knew they were wrong and it would be a bit of an issue, but that he could prove it. He did have the corporate number programmed into his phone, and that they had told him specifically on their internal website that the prices start around $45. He then ask if they would like to call the number. A few of them gathered, resolved the problem quickly, no phones necessary, and we were free to enjoy our time at the parks :) We spent 1 day at each park and had a great time.

So... be persistent and make sure you take the number they give you on the Comcast Employee Website!

The problem is that the computer scans them for a lower value. It takes a work-around but they can be upgraded. I'm hopeful that the glitch is fixed as it can be very frustrating for both the Comcast employee and the team member who is upgrading the ticket. I would suggest that the upgrade be done only at Guest Services and not just at a "voucher window." Go to the Guest Service window as they are definitely aware of the problem there.

I wanted to see if maybe someone might know the answer to this ~ I have a cousin who works for Comcast.. I know he's able to get discounted tickets. Is he allowed to purchase them for me and my sister to use or is it only the employee and his immediate family that can get the discount?

So glad that I happened upon this thread in my trip planning. I am a Comcast employee and will be going on the third week of July. Our internal website is not at all thorough about options for upgrades and the like. To those who have used the voucher: Are you able to get them a day ahead? What are some approximate prices for other upgrade types. I'm thinking we might do a 3-day park to park if the price isn't too ridiculous.

The employee has to be present in order to show his employee ID at the park when he purchases the tickets. i don't know if there is a maximum # eligible to be purchased at the employee rate at a time.

There used to be an online site which employees could pre-purchase the tickets and then pick them up at a kiosk, But it's been down for awhile. i'm assuming because of abuse since the discount was a pretty nice one and there wasn't much built into it to verify eligibility. (unlike Florida Resident where they can use the billing address to verify eligibility for that discount.)

You have to get your voucher the day of your visit. Also, everyone getting a ticket must be present.

Glad I saw this. When this first started you had to get your walk in the park voucher ahead of time and then you could upgrade at the park. But my hubby read that you don't have to now. I just wanted to verify.

Also can we go to the any of the ticket kiosks or just certain ones at the parks?

Thanks

If you want to upgrade the tickets I would highly suggest that you go to the Guest Service/Will Call window and not to any other voucher window. Upgrading these tickets can be a challenge of which Guest Services is more able to perform.

Where is Guest Services/Will Call window located?

Where is Guest Services/Will Call window located?

There is one in front of each park. for IOA, it's located behind the ticket booths to the right of the entrance. I believe it's the same for US.

Either way, there will be a sign above the windows which are larger enough to read from a bit of a distance, so you don't need to walk up to each window looking for a small sign saying "guest services/will call"

That is correct. At both parks, it is the building on the far right near the ticket booths. It says Guest Service/Will Call window.

My dh works for NBC and we've been to the US a couple of times now. You can use your work id for discounts in the stores (30% off) and at many of the eating venues (Confiscos, Irish Pub, Lombards, International Food and Film are ones we've used). Don't forget to bring and show that id. Plus you may be able to get a discount on hotels (not sure if anyone mentioned that yet). You have to call and see if any rooms are available at the employee rate. HTH

Thanks for the tip of being able to get the discount at stores and at the eating venues. Is there a list somewhere?
