my "plantar's wart" was a souvenier from our
disney cruise about 15 years ago

i tried every possible home remedy, and lots of money, for about a year before i decided the pain was too much.
the first doctor used acids, etc, then finally a combo of razor and laser to cut a deep hole in my foot (yes...big OUCH!

). the wart was back (not sure it was even fully removed) within a few months.
i went to another podiatrist, who scraped the skin, then applied some black liquid (acid?). after 3 treatments over 3 months, i found myself not limping for the first time in years

about every 2 years, the cycle starts again. btw, this doc stated that the growth was not actually a plantar's wart (some big name i couldn't pronounce, let alone spell), and it was deep in the sole, attached to the bone.
all i know is that whatever that black stuff is, it is wonderful - for years after the cruise, i had forgotten how wonderful a simple walk could be when every single step didn't incur severe pain

.
lesson learned: if the pain doesn't go away, go to the doctor. and if the first doc doesn't help, try another.
