I am a true disney nut. My wife however is not. It's not that she hate's disney, but she doesn't share the same fascination as I do. For instance last time we went to WDW I entered the Magic Kingdom and proceeded to walk at what I thought was a comfortable pace when I noticed my wife was not with me anymore. :cool1: When I turned around I saw my wife tapping her foot about 100 yards back. She then reprimanded me telling me that if I continued to run through the park she was going back to the hotel(boy I missed her that day) Just Kidding! I was just curious if anyone else has this problem. We will be back again this august for ten nights with our 7 year old daughter.(her first time at WDW)

My long term (over a decade) boyfriend won't do Disney... I just go without him. (Of course I don't fly fish so I guess it works out!)

Me too. I have yet to go to WDW with my husband, I always go with a girlfriend. He also has a guys only fishing trip, so it does work out for us too. My husband and I also do a main vacation together during the year as well.

Between me and my wife we have been around 50 times total. I can't imagine going with anyone else :lovestruc

No. I lucked out in that department in that hubby is as big if not bigger Disney nut than I am! However, we DO have non-Disney family that kind of scratch their heads about us. They're there NOW and it drives me crazy! They don't even LOVE it and here we are itching to go and can't. Oh well.

I only get my husband to go by agreeing to 3 days at the ocean either before or after Disney.

my dh just doesn't get disney. he thinks i'm crazy when i say it's magical. he does go w/me, but is complaning that it's his turn to pick a vacation. which i guess i have to give and let him! he is being wonderful and letting my friend and i go to wdw by ourselves next weekend. no kids! no husbands! :cool1: cannot wait!(and i leave on his b-day!) (and we are going to see nelson at epcot, who we are in love with  )so at least he lets me get as much disney as i can!

We went on our first trip last month. My DH enjoyed it but said he has no desire to go back. :confused3 I had the opposite reaction and I am saving for my next trip.My parents and I are taking the kids in Feb.06. :)

Wow! Being a Disney lover is one of my top requirements for a potential spouse! :flower: All others need not apply! :goodvibes

My DH has no desire to go to WDW. Fortunately, he is okay with DD and I going by ourselves. If he did go, the only things he would be interested in are golf and Richard Petty.

I think I would win the prize for "anti-Disney" spouses!! He has no desire to go, thinks that I am totally off my rocker and is not supportive of me going. I have to say however, that I have gone the past 2 years in a row without him (I have no idea how I got away with that!!). He says it's a money issue, but somehow I think it's more than that. He resents me even talking about it and we have had HUGE fights about what he calls my "obsession"! On a lighter note, we are planning a family trip for fall 2006 but only because it'll be our 15th anniversary and I told him I deserved a trip to WDW for putting up with him that long!! I'm hoping to convert him, but I know better than to get my hopes up too high!!

Great stories by the way. :rotfl:
My wife is not half as excited about our trip as I am.
When will tell our friends/relatives that we are going and
not taking our 13 mth old DD they laugh at us. I coaxed
my wife into going now since we probably would not being again until
our DD (potential kids) are older (5-10yrs).
Don't worry, I'll make her have fun. She was pregnant the last time
we went.
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :rotfl: :rotfl2:

DH is not a Disney Lover - He's not a Disney Hater either, tho - He's good to go every 2-3 years, where I like to go at least once a year (if I can afford it) Igo with my DS (16) or Friends on off years.

This last trip was perfect for him. Slow paced, emphasis on Dining, Tours, non-attraction commando things.... That helped him enjoy it much more....

This will be his first time going 2x in one year.....

My DH is not a very big WDW fan. But, I have to say, this is our 3rd year in a row going. He tells me that he goes because he knows how much I love it. He is a big fan of roller coasters (so am I), so we always make sure to get on the good stuff. That he enjoys, but he just doesn't get the magic part of it. I don't make him go through IASW, because I think it might drive him batty!!! But, he tells me to just make whatever PS arrangements I want and he will go along with it. I am perfectly fine with that, just as long as we get to go!!! Can't wait...127 more days!!!!! :goodvibes

We went for our honeymoon last year and he loved it! It was better than he expected and he had a very good time.

With that being said, he also said we aren't going to be one of those families who goes to Disney every year.

So in March, while we're trying to plan our summer vacation I told him I want to go back to Disney. He said no. I remind him that he had a great time and that it is cheaper than going to Hawaii, or going on a cruise, or leaving the country.

He conceded and is now really into the planning with me. He is looking very forward to our trip.

However...he says that this is the last year we're going for a while.

I think it's because he has a very non Disney family and they just don't get why we want to go there. I've given up trying to explain it to them.

My husband is not a big disney fan. But he encourages me to go by myself or with friends. I do take him once in awhile for a day or two if there is something new I want him to see. Otherwise he is more of a SeaWorld person.

My husband thought I was NUTS before we went as a family to DISNEYLAND ( I had been three times before ). I was looking up hints and tips on the Internet...I was SOOOooo... excited. I had a BLAST but, my husband actually had MORE fun than me (and our daughter!) :earsboy: So that is why we are now planning WDW - HIS idea :cheer2:

If you ever want a Disney partner - I'm just 45 minutes away. Do you fly out of Buffalo or Rochacha?? ;)
