Anyone with an iPod, Say I!

I just wanted to know who has a iPod, and any experiences they have with it. I have had my Pod since the end of the summer, and when I first used it I had no idea what to do at all! I eventually learnt what to do; very happy onwards.

I still have to make a playlist; just a bit unsure how. I will learn eventually...

I have just upgraded from my mini to an IPod Nano 8GB. I love it. Apart from listening to music which I can do in my car to, thanks to an aux input on my Toyota Aygo, I also enjoy podcasts from Stuff magazine.

We've got a couple, what was called an iPod Photo when it was released and a current version (was called the iPod Video). They are really cool I reckon, especially when you use with a Mac, which syncs a lot better than our PC did.

Also useful for backing up photos and files to. One of ours has all of our digital photos on it.

Playlists are easy, just click on the "+" in the bottom left corner in iTunes and name it. Then just drag in the songs you want.

Also, love the new look iTunes. Especially like the view which shows all the artwork above the song list. Only downside would be that Apple have some work to do around the artwork, but it's getting there.

Mine is a cute pink mini one. I've had it since the mini ones first came out. Doing some serious research at the moment to upgrade before Christmas.

I have a pink mini and DH got it engraved by apple on the back - says "happy wife, happy life" LOL DH also has a blue mini and a Nano!

I am going to get the ipod video for Christmas! We love our ipods so much we have ditched all our home pc's for macs!

Mine isn't actually an Apple at all but similar enough. It's a Creative Zen Vision M, which has similar features to the ipod.

I haven't used it for photos or video yet but I'll get there eventually. I use it mainly for music and audio books. I like listening to books so it's working out great for that.

Of course I can't use itunes so I use Napster instead. Haven't tried downloading any of those podcast thingies yet, what are they like?

Thye are good in the way they download automatically into iTunes.

OK, but what is the content like? I mean, is it someone talking like a radio programme? I really don't know anything about podcasts, or even what they are.

Some are just like radio shows, just depends on which ones you subscribe to. Goond news is they're free, so worth trying one and if you don't like 'em jusy cancel it.

I have heard of Podcasts, but I haven't gotten one yet myself...

BTW guys there is a thread so you can iPod avatars. They are custom made, and thankfully a lot better than mine..

DH has a ipod mini & l have a Nano, they are the best things that were ever invented IMHP. We love music in our house and have thousands of CD's so the i-pods make it more convient to listen to instead of having to carry round loads of CD's. l just want a arm band to hold mine now so when l'm on my treadmill i dont keep dropping it, oopps
