Just wondering if anyone has eaten there recently...

Did you like it or not?

Would you go back?

What did you enjoy?

We ate there twice last year and both times were fabulous. The service was spot on. The food delightful. And the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Try the bacon and eggs app...heavenly!

Breakfast: Meh. A couple of years ago I ordered off of the menu while everyone else got the buffet. They were all on their second plates by the time I got my meal. The next time we went I got the buffet (quick learner), but they ran out of a few items that I wanted to try. Plus the line was moving rather slowly so my food cooled off before I got back to the table. I'm not crazy about a $23 breakfast, but the wife likes it so I endure.

Dinner: Good food, good service and good atmosphere.

Would go back for dinner.

We went for dinner over this past Thanksgiving. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. The restaurant itself had zero atmosphere, IMO. I wouldn't make an effort to go back. Too many other, better places.

The week's biggest surprise last January. Not at the level of Citricos or Jiko, but the items were fresh and prepared with care. The staff was brisk, friendly, and handled requests with aplomb.

The bar mixes some of the best martinis on property too.

was a year ago recent? hahaha It's memorably delicious! We had breakfast/brunch there on day.....it is WONDERFUL.

We ate lunch there a couple weeks ago. It was wonderful. It's truly a hidden gem. We don't do ADR, unless you count that we open the app each morning and find an opening that looks good that day. I love that it's always easy to find an opening there.
DH did the burger and unfortunately I can't remember now what I got, I went back and forth on the fish of the day and the chicken sandwich and just can't recall what I went with. I know I liked it, whatever it was. We did the last seating time for lunch and the staff had no problem with us taking all the time wanted. We did the breakfast buffet a couple years ago and it was also very good.

The fact that when we tried to get into the restaurant on our arrival night and a CM told me in a tone that I didn't appreciated, that they were only taking people who had reservations even though I told her we just arrived. So instead of letting me make one she just walked away from me. That was enough for me. One of the two underwhelming CM experiences on our 2016 trip. Perhaps more customer service training would be welcome.

While that was not handled well that is sort of the normal way at Disney. Many of their restaurants will only take people with an ADR, even if the restaurant isn't booked solid. That's why we always grab out phone and make an ADR, even if it's for 5 min from that time.

Well we've done it before. We were already there so I don't understand why I would have to go to my phone to make one when I'm standing right in front of them. I hear what you're saying but that's taking online ADRs a little too far IMO. If a person is making an effort to be there to make a reservation you shouldn't be turning them away if there's availability.

Yes, we've eaten at the Wave several times in the past year (we are locals) and enjoy both breakfast and dinner there. The breakfast is either a buffet or off the menu and your choices are very good. For dinner there is no buffet but some very good items on the menu. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I know and I don't disagree. But, that just is how they've opted to operate at most of the restaurants on property now. They are ADR only. The ones that aren't are usually the ones that are leasing space, though even then there are exceptions. Maybe it's up the the restaurant manager? Not really sure

Yes, yes & yes...LOVE BREAKFAST, Lunch is ok, Dinner is very good.

Breakfast buffet is one of our favorites on property. Best Grits in all of WDW!! Love almost everything on the buffet. Lunch is ok, had a chicken sandwich, was "meh" (was chewy and small-practically lost in the bun)...dd loves the kid's pizza as it is freshly made. Also one of the best values for a breakfast buffet. Was puzzled about one comment made regarding $23 for breakfast (in comparison to what I'm not sure because most of the buffets in WDW or more than that). As far as WDW goes The Wave & Trails End are the best values as far as breakfast buffets go.

Dinner favorite is the fish of the day which usually changes by season. Love the adorable themed cupcakes they have for dessert as well as some of their other decadent mini desserts. Working on a dinner review (we were just there last month for dinner) but do have a breakfast review with photos if you'd like to take a look...

Went there for dinner the first night of our trip in February and loved it. When we were deciding on our final day dinner (using MDE to book reservations the day before), we decided to go back and had another great meal.

It only makes sense that they were on their second round, since you can go getfood even before ordering if you really want to.

And you could have let the server know about the items being out and they would have gone to tell the chefs to make more...
