So it has been a while since we have traveled to WDW. (I think it was 2010.) We are arriving June 21st around 10:30 pm so we have a room only reservation the first night and a package with the Disney Dining plan for June 22-28th. We are staying in a Lion King suite at Art of Animation. Our family is; my husband, son 15, daughter 12, and me. We want to have time to relax but don't mind a busy day. I need to book our Fast Pass reservations, tonight at 11PM Central, if I have this thing figured out correctly. Mostly, I need to reserve my Fast Passes so I need to figure out which will be early days and which days will be late nights. I would appreciate any input because I am feeling overwhelmed!

June 21-DME to Art of Animation- sleep
June 22 Sleep in, see if we have to switch rooms or not/late breakfast or early lunch at resort.
Epcot: I think we should Fast Pass Soarin', and then Spaceship Earth and Nemo.
Maybe try to work wood yin a Turtle Talk show before or after our 4:25 Dinner reservation at Coral Reef.
Head back to the resort to relax and get ready for the next day.

June 23 Magic Kingdom: Fast pass Space Mountain, & Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan
Start in Fantasy Land and make our way to Tomorrow Land.
1:10 Brunch at Chef Mickey's
Return to resort, swim and relax
Return in time for Fireworks and Parade at Magic Kingdom.

June 24 Animal Kingdom Fast pass Kilamanjaro Safari, Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest
5:00 Dinner at Boma
(Should we plan on nighttime entertainment at Animal Kingdom? If so, should we star our touring in the afternoon?)

June 25 Hollywood Studios Fast Pass Toy Story, Star Tours, Tower of Terror
1:00 Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose.
9:00 Fantasmic, Star Wars Fireworks

June 26th Magic Kingdom (I would like to arrive before Rope Drop but I am not sure if we will be up to it by day 5 after the late night.) Fast Pass Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean
Start in Tomorrow Land then head to the other side of the park for Pirates, etc...
10:00 Be our Guest (Not sure if this is worth the time since it is right in the middle of prime touring time. A lot will probably depend on how much we get done on our first Magic Kingdom day.)
Leave the park by 2:00 to head back to the resort.
7:15 pm Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

June 27th Epcot Fast Pass Test Track, Not sure what else to Fast Pass??
Ride Mission Space, Sum of all Thrills.
Tour Epcot
I have reservations at La Hacienda San Angel for 8:15, thinking we might have a seat for Illuminations but now I am thinking that it isn't likely we will get a window seat at that time. We could instead eat a Biergarten that evening, if that sounds like more fun.
9:00 Illuminations

June 28th 10:30 am Flight

Thank you so much if you have made it this far!

Thought I would tell you- Spaceship Earth does NOT need a FASTPASS! The wait times are short most of the time, so you should reserve that spot for something else! I also really suggest swapping out Primeval Whirl for Finding Nemo the Musical- I've had some whiplash problems with that one in the past, Finding Nemo is a good show though. Also, for the day that has Test Track and you don't know what else to FASTPASS, maybe throw in another Nemo and maybe Figment? Up to you- Figment's a good one though, usually has a bit of a wait, wouldn't hurt to FASTPASS. Another one that would be good to FASTPASS for that day is Living With the Land, very nice calming ride about ecosystems and a good boat ride!

It looks like you are going to have a great trip. I would change Mama Melrose, it's one of my least favorite restaurants in all WDW. Night vision goggles at AKL is a lot of fun! On your 2nd MK day, get another 7DMT fast pass (you will want to ride it again, plus the standby waits are crazy). Plan another sleep in for the 27th. Enjoy some time at the pool too. Epcot does not need 2 full days.

Have a magical time!

AK: you may want to FP kali river Rapids for June rather than primeval whirl. I agree with the comment about going to Nemo, it's one of our favorite shows in all the parks. Don't skip primeval though, it's a unique and fun ride. If definitely head back for the entertainment, looks like their adding a jungle book live show!

HS: we haven't been to mama melrose in a while, but other than the Disney junior breakfast it's the only sit down meal we really enjoy in this park.

Epcot: we like to do Nemo and crush right after dinner at coral reef as there are usually shorter waits. Not sure this holds for June. Keep an eye out for frozen fast passes when they come available, I'm not positive on timing of when it opens or if this would matter for you guys. Definitely head straight to sum of all thrills at rope drop if you end up with FP for both test track and soarin on different days. Another good option is to hit test track then SOAT. We do enjoy 2 days here though as it gives us a bit of time to really enjoy all the interesting food and shops.

Have fun!

I think you can easily do 2 days at Epcot especially if you're leaving the park for 4 or 5 hours a day. the Living with the Land ride does get lines so that may be a good use of a fastpass. I'm not a Biergarten fan but some are.
Timing of new things could make you adjust things down the road also.

Everybody's different but I'm not a big fan of leaving the parks in the middle of the day for such lengths of time. There's plenty of indoor things with AC and wet rides and plenty of refreshing things to cool off with. Have fun.

I would do a late start on the 24th. And I would do a break in the middle of day on the 25th. That's a super long day. We went last June and it was HOT and crowded. We appreciated the mid day break to cool off in hotel and nap most days. (and i'm not usually a napper in general). I'd also do a late start on the 28th. I agree with some others that you should maybe get a fp+ for Kali Rapids instead of Primeval whirl. At MK, you don't have to waste a fp on Peter pan ifyou head there first. Make sure to get a fp for Splash Mountain. Or ride it at RD with no lines.

Thanks for the help! I thought I remembered that Spaceship Earth was not a terribly long line. I'm having trouble finding things at Epcot that we ALL want to ride. My 12 year old is not much of a thrill seeker. I am hoping to make that first day nice and easy and she may warm up to Test Track by the end of the week!

If she's not much of a thrill seeker, she'll still love test track. I mean, I'm not much of one either and it's my fav ride! Try doing Mission Space Green Team to warm her up to TT. Living with the Land is a wonderful slow ride she may like, and so is Spaceship Earth of course, and so is Journey into Imagination with Figment! There's also Ellen's Energy Adventure, but it's 45 mins long...nice for a snooze, I guess..? Anyway, you guys have fun!

Thanks for the advice! I'm mostly planning Mama Melrose for the purpose of the Fantasmic package. I am not sure if that is "worth it" or not. I think I saw that there is often a second Fantasmic show added in the summer. We might be better off skipping the package and dining elsewhere. Although, we are not that picky and we all like Italian. I'm trying to make the most of the unique dining experiences and this one is probably the one I am least excited about.

I GENUINELY FORGOT TO MENTION THIS: DO NOT TAKE HER ON PRIMEVAL WHIRL!!! There's a BOATLOAD of drops. And oh no, my iPad keyboard made everything in bold again AAAAAGH. Anyway, there's drops, sideways drops, high drops and backwards drops. She would NOT wanna do that.

I personally haven't tried it, but Fantasmic is a wonderful show so it's prob worth it.

Thank you for your help! I should have mentioned that we aren't doing water rides. I'll ask the family again but generally, none of us like to get wet and then stay in the park. (We live in Texas so we know it will be hot though!)

I'm glad you enjoyed Mama Melrose. If we end up keeping it for the Fantasmic package, that's encouraging!

Thank you! Yes, she will be out for Primeval Whirl, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest. I'm hoping that she will try 7 Dwarfs and Test Track!

Thank you for the suggestions! Epcot is my husband's favorite park so I think we can spend two days there also.

Yes, I would stay all day if I could! I am trying to find the balance between seeing as much as possible and relaxing some. Also, my 15 year old wears a prosthetic leg so a mid day break to swim and relax will make it more fun for him. He is on his high school golf team and marching band so he has figured out that dedicating time to rest each day can pay off later!

She will def love both- if she tries to skip them, tell her you once encountered a person who tried to do the same thing and those rides ended up being their fav- works every time

I agree about the 25th! I am not sure that we will want to be there ALL DAY! This fast pass system is kind of freaking me out! Thanks for your help!

That's a great idea! I want to start slowly so that she isn't scared off by something and then afraid to try the others that she might enjoy. I think that 7 dwarfs looks fine and I agree that Test Track should be good as well!

Fun fact: both have no drops and have little segments of rest from their thrilling parts!

I disagree with a pp who said Epcot does not need two full days. We could easily do more than two there! As for Mk, I would probably get another 7Dmt FP instead of using one on Pirates. In our experience, Pirates doesn't usually have much of a wait. I would definitely keep the Peter pan FP though, the waits for that can be crazy!
