I got back a couple of weeks ago and received a request from Disney to complete an online survey, it didn't seem to be aimed at Brits ( or DVC owners) alone, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else got the request.

Wasn't much of interest in it, they just seemed to be interested in how much time you spent off site and total money spent ( I guess they can find out how much you spend on disney pretty easily LOL ).

When we returned from our trip last summer Disney rang us regarding a follow-up survery. We had completed a survey in MK whilst leaving one afternoon and had been asked by the CM If we minded them ringing us when we got home.

Yes, we got one of these after our trip in April.

Also while we at DTD DH was asked to do a on the spot survey and while he was people watching at MGM:)

whilst we were out there in May we got asked on the spot twice both in MGM studios.

We got one yesterday, go to disneysurveys and enter the pin number. Was quite surprised it continued when you put in the UK as your address because I am sure the last one we did 3 or 4 years ago didn't want any non US resident comments.

Was kinda surprised at the questions as well. They didn't really seem interested in your "disney" experience.

David. :D

David, sounds like the same survey. Would you agree it was just interested in where you spent your money and how much?

I had a follow-up questionnaire a couple of weeks ago on Animal Kingdom, and a more general one following our trip last October.

Absolutley. Very strange survey from Disney.

I had one from our stay at the Yacht Club we got a letter asking us to go on line again we had the pin number and everything. They were interested in where we spent our time and how many days of our vacation in WDW then in Orlando and then in Florida.

Hi Vernon

Was having a read at the thread on the US pages and have got to kinda disagree with some of our american friends.

Here is our story. Bought ap's in jan 2002, used them well on our 10 day stays in jan 02 and aug 02. Used them that well that I don't think, out of the 20 days we were there in total, we were not in the parks for maybe 2 days.

Much of that time was enjoying the parks, but probably the large majority of that time was shopping (that big shop in epcot is a killer ;) ) or more specifically going into the parks for meals, expensive meals may I add, but very good meals. And of course after the meals, there probably was a bit of shopping.

Its kinda funny when you realise with ap's you can nip into a park for only lunch or dinner and your not losing any days.

Looking at cc bills, many, many $100's of dollars where given to Mr Disney.

Now .... our ap's expired in jan 03, and as we "thought" we would not be back until nov/dec this year we did not renew them - NO INCENTIVE.

As it happened, we had a last minute trip during july, which was a long weekend at VWL. ( The great benefits of DVC ). The 4 full days, we were in wdw, we did NOT visit any parks, didn't eat in any disney restuarants, bar once at Artist Point, and once at Rain Forest at DD. We only went to dd once (no dc disc available) and so did the vast majority of out shopping, spending, outside of the Disney Empire at the outlets.

To summerise, there where no incentives to buy ap's and Disney must have lost many many $100's to other vendors. We will probably purchase ap's in dec which will cover another trip next year, but, and here is the killer blow, both of us did NOT miss the parks. We still very much enjoyed our visit, but our funds were spend elsewhere.

If I where a Disney Exec, this is surely got to be a very worrying trend.

No sooner said than done.

We will get shot down together ;)
