I've gone to WDW on the Sunday before Memorial Day but not going to a park until on Memorial Day. On that day I went to Epcot. There was a long line to get in, but maybe if we'd shown up at 9:00, instead of 9:30, it would have been a lot better. However, once inside the park, Epcot didn't seem crowded at all. Wouldn't have dreamed of trying out MK, however!
As far as heat, I thought it was pretty hot, but then I hate the heat! I wish we could have gone earlier in May, because of the heat, not because of Memorial Day. However, vacation scheduling didn't allow it.

We were there Memorial Day weekend, 2003. It was pretty hot and crowded. We were at MK on the Sunday before Memorial Day and it was absolutely unbearable. You couldn't even walk beween IASW and PPF. You were literally shoulder to shoulder with people walking the other direction. I did however go to MK on that Monday (Memorial Day) and found the crowds to be much more managable.

Either way, expect heat and crowds. But on the other hand, you are still at Disney.

We checked in last year on Memorial Day and went straight to the MK. It was crowded but I didn't think it was any worse than a Saturday.

As far as hot. It was warm, but I guess hot is a relative term. We are from Texas so what is just warm to us could be really hot to you.

If I am remembering right.. it was in the high 80's to low 90's.

It was hot and crowds were moderate, this was in 1999 crowds may have changed some since then.::yes:: :wave2:

We went Memorial day week this year and it was hot. The crowds were pretty intense but with fast pass we were able to manage. This deffinately is not a time to go if you have very young children or anyone who can't tolerate the high heat and humidity.

Thanks, guys!! I am taking a group of high school students to WDW over Memorial Weekend to perform in Disney's Magic Music Days. I have been to WDW in July...and, was miserable!! I also have a dd who will be 3 during that time...so, I will be trying to keep up with 32 high schoolers, and keep my dd happy as well!!

We are from Phoenix...so, the heat is not a problem...but, the humidity might just do me in!! I think I will DEFINITELY avoid animal kingdom!!!

Thanks again,
