No matter when I look to book park reservations using Cast Complimentary Tickets, all dates are blocked. Is there a way for me to find out what dates I might be able to book? I try to call daily but the queue is always closed. Thanks!

Whats available is what you are seeing unfortunately. There is no trick other than to check daily for openings.

Comp tickets should not be blocked. At least, I have never seen them as blocked. They do not even appear on the cast availabilty calendar (where it says one day hopper guest ticket, that is not a regular cast comp ticket.)

Main entrance pass (to admit guests) and self admit (with ID) ARE blocked. I have not tried to use a comp at DL since the park reopened, but have used them at WDW on days that were blocked for MEP and guest passes. DL can be different of course.

Cast member comp ticket have had very limited days avaiable. We have 7 of them and I check often. Pre-pandemic, they had no restrictions and were park hoppers. That is no longer the case. We are seeing WDW open main entry sign ins but nothing yet for DL.

For what it's worth, DCA has had a few random weekday MEP dates available. However, the reservation window opens and closes quickly. (There is a new webpage for checking MEP availability for DLR, different from the old page with the check boxes.)

I've been able to go twice by checking often (most recently June 3, the day before AC opened). I have a feeling those dates won't be available as often in the coming months due to summer crowds and AC crowds. I'm glad they were available at all!

Btw, I used comp tickets at DL/DCA yesterday and it worked out well. Of course, the comp ticket reservations had to be made far in advance.

Good luck!

That's AWESOME! We've been looking for MEP and have not been lucky. We were able to book mid June for DCA with comp tickets, so excited! My hubby has been checking the new page as well. I will make him check twice a day. :lmao:

What’s MEP?

MEP = Main Entrance Pass, formerly called "silver pass", which is the little plastic card employees of TWDC use to gain complimentary access to the parks.

Do you think they changed the "category" of my comp ticket due to the limited capacity? I'm not well versed in this, but the tickets came from an ESPN employee. I have used many in the past and even could have gone on Christmas Day if I had wanted to brave the crowds.

I don't believe there are any blockout days for comp tickets, however they are subject to a specific pool of reservations that is different from the reservations that are available to the public. I recommend asking your friend at ESPN to help you look into availability.

The only way I've been able to find true availability is to actually put the tickets into MDE, then try to get a park reservation with them.

For instance, I am using 11 paper tickets on June 29. The park calendars said I could only go to EPCOT, but once I put all the numbers in and assigned them to people, I was able to pick Magic Kingdom. Of course, this is WDW and not Disneyland but you never know! Not sure how it works for ESPN tickets! Good luck!
