Anyone watching the SATC reboot? Major spoiler inside...

I am caught up now! I did enjoy the episodes for sure. I am just so mad at Miranda. Steve is such a good guy, I have always thought that :sad1:

I enjoyed this episode. I laughed so many times at Charlotte! When she was showing Lilly in the bathroom how to use tampons and she was like, "some women put one leg up on the toilet like this". then she proceeds to act it out. 😂

Hated how broken Steve was. Still think it wont work out with Che. She said, " you're the only one I am sleeping with right now." I think Che lives day by day, not worrying about the future. I think she is not interested in long-term. She likes Miranda. For now. We'll see.

Still loving Seema. She reminds me of Samantha.

Miranda was never the most likable character, but she seemed at least like a real person in SaTC. In the reboot she is quite possibly the most annoying, unbelievable, obnoxious character on TV and Steve is coming in at a close second. I don't know why someone like Che would even like her. She treated Steve like a piece of trash and all he can do is continue to pine away for her. It's not just that I don't like her behavior, it's that I don't find it plausible that a whole group of people would continue to stand by her when she has acted beyond terrible. It is really a crappy representation of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Anyone catch The Gilded Age? If you’re hating Miranda, Aunt Ada Brook makes up for that.

Love that Anthony! Get Out 🤣

Charlotte was a hoot. I was laughing so hard because I used a teddy bear & underwear to demonstrate pads & how to dispose. Tampons haven’t come up yet in our household, yet I pictured myself in Charlotte’s shoes for sure. Menopause and Puberty, it’s so real.

Steve, such a great guy. Broke my heart. Yet that how it is with some people after loss. The one and done hearts. I get it and know a few people like a Steve. Although I don’t want to see that for him, glad they are showing all life after loss.

Seems this episode had some flashbacks of Big because it was short at 35 minutes long.

Che definitely shot Miranda a look when they were at the diner and Miranda referred to herself as Ches girlfriend.

I LOVED Gilded Age. I cannot wait for more.

My oldest got her period right before her 12th birthday on a family camping trip. The next month she got it the day of her swim party. Good thing she learned how to use a tampon quickly, the next month it came when she was on a 10 camping trip with her aunt’s family, Lake Michigan, no running water, tents. My other daughters were 15/16, by then all of their friends were experts.

Your poor DD - I never liked to deal with that while camping!

Yeah, I noticed that too but I think that was more about "labeling" their relationship. Che does not like the traditional labels. They even said that they do not want to be defined or put in a box. Che does not want to be referred to as girlfriend or anything else. I just feel like Che lives in the moment, I can't see Che as being the type to dream about a future and growing old with Miranda. I think it's more like, "you are fun right now, and we are intimate right now, but who knows what tomorrow holds. I may find someone I like better." All about having a good time. Miranda is more long term forever type of person.

Someone just posted Smith Jerrod's Absolute Vodka ad from back in the day and my word was he a hunk of man. Why couldn't they have thrown us a bone and had a quick cameo with Smith in this reboot? Carrie bumps into him on the street and his shirt falls off. Something like that. ;)

I don't think she's ever been on the receiving end of being in that kind of a relationship before. Both Skipper and Steve dropped whoever they were with for the chance to be with Miranda again. While a couple guys may have approached her for a quickie, she knew enough from Samantha on how to spot them and avoid them. Being in an "Oh Wow! Oh Now," type of relationship wasn't something she was in, if I recall correctly. She may not be able to spot that's where Che is at.

This made me think back to all her relationships and led me to remember Blair Underwood. He was her neighbor and the doctor she dated before she went back to Steve. They were good together. And, yes, this is now a Blair Underwood appreciation post. Love him.

OMG, I seriously thought they were gonna do a "it's not menopause, she's pregnant!" storyline with Charlotte. When she was talking about how it's been 4 months and she hasn't had any hot flashes or anything. Glad they didn't go down that path.

This week was better, overall. Che was SLIGHTLY less annoying. Miranda wasn't. Che is a player. Miranda is an idiot.

And I have to ask this, because I don't have daughters so I can't go by experience, but why wouldn't you just demonstrate on yourself how to put in a tampon/use a pad? I mean, it's something every young woman needs to learn. This was kinda funny at first, but as time dragged on, became more and more like "JUST SHOW HER HOW TO DO IT AND GET ON WITH DINNER."

I don’t think my daughter would have appreciated me showing her my…”cash and prizes” in such an intimate way, at that age. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣. And she certainly wouldn’t have me looking at hers while trying to put a tampon in 👌🏾 I’m no prude (and I look at women’s ladybits for a living), but she wouldn’t be down for any of that 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
