I'm not loving the podcast aspect of the reboot. The Che and Jackie (is that his name?) characters are not funny. Is the podcast supposed to be funny? It's serious low-brow humor.
There is just something irritating about Sara Ramirez. One of the many reasons I stopped watching Grey's.I am NOT loving Che either... If/When Miranda decides to go that direction, she could do a lot better.
And just like that…the peloton ad was pulled.
I don't think Miranda is an alcoholic. She left a 30+ year career, has a sexless marriage, pandemic drinking (I'm was so guilty of this), restarting back to school, and has an awful teenager & his girlfriend to deal with. Before all of that MIL needed care, husband cheated, raising a child, work busting her butt.
Just like how Samantha ate & shopped in excess so she wouldn't cheat on Smith while in working and living in LA. Samantha realized being in LA and being in a relationship isn't her. This is almost the same setup just now with Miranda drinking in excess.
There is a Big scandal today in The Hollywood Reporter. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/chris-noth-accused-of-sexual-assault-1235063596/
It's crazy timing because the accusers said the reboot and all the buzz on social media about Big's death brought up feelings they had buried years ago. I bet Chris Noth wishes he never set foot in the SATC reboot.
That makes perfect sense.I think the timing was the Hollywood Reporter purposely torpedoing the reboot along with Noth. They could have released their "research" a couple weeks early. Allowing the show to be delayed and to re-write and re-shoot the first two episodes. But, they didn't want to help the show. They wanted what would have the most people clicking or referring hack to their article.
I'm watching The Morning Show right now on Apple TV. it's all about Me Too within the world of television and the boy's club, enablers, etc. One by one everyone who was complicit is getting picked off. I wonder if this controversy will be the end to this already shaky SATC reboot. One season and done. Surely the execs, producers, co-stars knew something. As for Chris Noth sexually assaulting these women, I heard decades ago that Chris Noth was a "player" and unfaithful to his longtime girlfriend. One of the reasons he famously never married his girlfriend, until even years after their first son was born.
I now wonder if the words "player" and "womanizer" are euphemisms for "rapist" during an era when men used to get away with that kind of stuff, while others turned a blind eye to it, during a "boys will be boys," pre-"Me too" era? Many times I've heard those words used to describe men as being "players" or "womanizers," in real life or on the news, later they also turned out to be rapists.
If I heard Chris Noth described as a "player" decades ago, how did the Hollywood Reporter not know it only until recently? Nor the boss of the first alleged victim of the "high-profile firm where Noth and other celebrities regularly had business," not have heard that about him? Although, maybe this incident is what started the rumors, as this boss probably knew many of the other celebrities at that firm.![]()

Maybe why they wanted to write Big off the reboot from day one. They probably already knew the truth was about to emerge.I've been doing more reading up on this. This L.A. Times article reported that after the Hollywood Reporter article of accusations came out:
"The next day, actress and director Zoe Lister-Jones accused Noth of misconduct on the “Law & Order” set and said that he “capitalized on the fantasy that women believed Mr. Big represented.” By Friday night, the Daily Beast published allegations made by a 30-year-old tech executive who alleged that Noth forced himself on her in 2010 when she was 18." [. . .]"Additionally, an old National Enquirer story about an ex-girlfriend, former supermodel Beverly Johnson, resurfaced on social media, dusting off 1995 court documents in which Johnson alleged that Noth “beat her” and made physical abuse and death threats after they dated. "
On Monday night, Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis said in a joint statement posted to each of their Instagram Stories on Monday night:

The three actresses could have been more ambiguous in their statement, just saying they are saddened by the allegations and are awaiting the results of any investigations, signaling some support for Chris Noth. Instead, they made it pretty clear they stand behind all the alleged victims and I think, believe them. Makes me wonder if they hadn't heard rumors in the past and suspected they were true. The alleged victims finally coming forward solidified it for them.

I didn't even catch that about the guy at the podcast studio. He's a cutie.Just saw the next episode. I think they are going to have Carrie have a relationship with the older guy at the podcast studio. He kind of looks like George Clooney. Every time they show him he is laughing at something Carrie said or smiling at her. They may start out as friends, but I think it will turn into more IF there are more seasons.
They also explain Stanfords absence. I think it was a good way to handle it. I will miss his character, always was such a bright spot and funny flair.
Yikes. This won't be the last one, I'm sure. This guy was busy.A fifth woman has now come forward with allegations against Chris Noth. It's Lisa Gentile, a country-pop singer and songwriter. She has Gloria Allred as her lawyer. I knew it was not going to take long for Allred to get in on this. (I'm only being snarky about Allred joining in, not the allegation.)
