I made a vague mention of a clip that HAS been aired on the show before...

I've been keeping out of this argument until now. I know who it is (I posted a link earlier for anyone who was interested) and I didn't think you had any spoilers in your post so I am confused about all the "spoiler alerts" on the thread . I also agree with you that the clip on GMA it is not technically a spoiler since it was broadcast on ABC. It seems to me that only a few people consider the GMA clip to be a true spoiler. I think if the OP who brought up the GMA clip just said, "I saw a clip on GMA and the mystery visitor was Courtney's MOM!!!" instead of asking if it was a spoiler all of us would be discussing the motive of the mystery visitor. The "true spoiler" people may have been initially disappointed, but I think they would have been happy to join the discussion. But it didn't go down like that. The question was asked and some people said "no, thank you" and instead of respecting their answer you continued to argue and defend your own viewpoint. Here is a newsflash for you: it's not that kind of thread (which was why I was sitting on my hands for so long). I don't "hate" you, but I am frustrated that you managed to rile up the thread with your desire to argue and fight with just about everyone here ... and I AGREE with your position .

"hatin' on me"...don't think I've actually ever heard anyone say that. But honestly, that's a little dramatic. The day I start "hatin' on" anyone on a discussion about The Bachelor", then it's time to get off the DIS.

If there is something that is questionably a spoiler, the polite, considerate, respectful, mature thing to do is to just not reveal it ESPECIALLY if there are other options....post the link. It worked, didn't it?

As far as it being a spoiler or not, I think we need to make some basic assumptions. There needs to be some reasonable parameters. For example, we are all watching from show start time to ending time. If someone chooses not to watch the previews in those two hours, then too bad...those are fair game as far as what we see and speculate based on what was shown. I remember in the past the East Coast was expected to not say anything specific because the West Coast hadn't seen the show yet. Well, that wasn't reasonable. It was reasonable to expect the West Coast to stay off the thread until it aired there.

Outside of those two hours per week, IMHO, everything is a spoiler. If the scene of the person arriving and knocking on the door was shown out of context in those mass previews at the beginning of the season two months ago, and is now being shown as a "OMG, who is it?", IMHO, it's reasonable to expect that that scene from two months ago could have been forgotten in the context of what's going on on the show right now. And, at the risk of sounding loud and repetitive, JUST POST A LINK. Why is it so hard to make an effort to be considerate?

Someone (I think OP?) said that, based on a comment someone else made, she gathered some information...I forgot exactly what. But I think it would be something like not saying who "wins", but saying "I know who it is and he really had no choice but to pick her" (ie, Courtney) or "I know who it is and he's going to have a lot of explaining to do to her" (ie, not Courtney).

But, I agree with robinb on her call on WOAS...seemed determined to do battle.

Well it pains me that I will not be able to hang out with you all tonight because the Daytona 500 got rained out yesterday and they are racing tonight. I wish they were able to have raced this afternoon. Monday nights are filled as it is with The Bachelor, HIMYM, 2 broke girls and the voice! Thankfully I have another DVR in my bedroom.
