Just reviewing plans, and wondered if anyone has watched Illuminations from the Rose & Crown pub?

We have ADR booked for 7.30pm not sure how it works, whether we will be able to get an outside table or not or if we will be able to see them?

Also has anyone been to R&C since its refurb was completed?

TIA

We watched the fireworks from the pub on NYE. Our adr was for 7pm and as we sat down the server asked if we were intending on watching the fireworks and held our meal back for us until it had finished. My dh went outside but as my dd does not like them i stayed inside. From what i can remember we were not asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside but not bothered either way as you can just pop out to watch them if you wish.

Good question Tia, i have heard that it's a good place to watch illuminations :) i didn't realise R&C had been refurbished.

I have not watched it from the R&C, but I have bean on the bridge right next to it. I have always had a good view, and by the time you get to the car park, there is not a Q for the trams.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2 DD and I have made a R&C ADR for 7.50pm in October - can't wait... :cheer2:

we managed to get a patio table to watch :thumbsup2 the view was fantastic and well worth doing :)

We had an ADR last year at 7.50pm - it was an ideal time, just finished the meal in plenty of time, and the waitress came and took us outside to the viewing area. Phoning on Friday for this years ADR for the same time - fingers crossed.:thumbsup2

We were there in December past and had ADR for 7.30pm - we didn't get seated until 8.00pm as we requested an outside table but the timing was perfect. Watching the fireworks from there was absolutely amazing.

We are booked for 7.30 on 2/6. Is theviewing area separate from the patio area? I would hate to stand over someone, eating & vice versa.

When I booked Rose & Crown last month, I was told that they now do not take seating requests at all and you have to take the first table you are offered. The CM said they was to many people requesting patio tables.

I have a 7.20pm adr for Rose and crown...but iam not too bothered if we get the patio or not as there is a viewing area to watch illuminations...if this is being used for a private function then we'll just finish up our meal and watch illuminatins around the lake.:)
