Anyone watch Friends last night?

You fell asleep? You poor thing! It was a very funny episode and touching. They had a going-away party for Rachel and she took each of them into a room and told them how much they mean to her. It was a crying party. Joey's response was priceless. Rachel was talking to him on the balcony and he was smiling and shaking his head, etc. (We couldn't hear what they were saying.) Anyway, Chandler, Monica, Ross, & Phoebe said that Joey sure is taking this well. When Joey and Rachel get finished talking, Joey starts to throw himself off of the balcony. Rachel had to pull him back. It was hilarious!

Rachel said her goodbyes to all of them at the party except for Ross. Ross got really upset about it. After Rachel left the party, Ross confronted her and said that he couldn't believe after everything they'd been through that she didn't say bye to him. She stood their speechless because he wouldn't shut up. He stormed off.

Meanwhile, the girl that is having Monica & Chandler's baby goes into labor and they head to the hospital.

Rachel went to Ross's apartment and tells him that she didn't tell him goodbye because it would've been too hard because she was going to miss him the most of all. She starts to leave and he grabs her and kisses her. They break apart, look at each other and then start "really" kissing. It ended there! It was a great episode. I hate you miss it. Hopefully, they will show reruns this summer.

I missed it too---I'm SOOO MAD--I can't believe I missed all THAT. I would have loved it.

The episode was pretty much about Chandler and Monica packing for the move to their new house, Rachel packing for her move to France and Rachel saying goodbye to the other 5 Friends. Monica had a going away party for Rachel at the apartment. Rachel took each of the Friends in the bedroom one at a time to say a private goodbye. They all were emotional when they were finished. Joey's turn was out on the terrace while the other Friends watched. Someone said he seemed to be taking it well at the same time Joey climbed on the ledge as if to jump! Rachel pulled him down Ross was anxiously waiting for his turn because he knew it was going to be hard for him. When Rachel had said her goodbyes to the other four, she announced that she was exhausted, thanks for the party, she was going to bed! Ross was stunned that she did not say goodbye to him. He storms over to Joey's apartment and tells her off that he could not understand how she could not say goodbye to her best friend, her ex-boyfriend, the father of her child, etc. Then leaves without giving her a chance to say anything. Rachel is visibly upset. The birth mother of Monica and Chandler's baby is also in NY staying in a hotel because she is due in a couple of weeks. She shows up at the apartment near the end complaining of stomach pains she thinks is indigestion. Monica tells her she's in labor and that scene ends with them leaving to go to the hospital. (funny part with Monica having sympathy contractions once she realizes the girl is in labor and the birth mother telling her to breathe through it and relax The episode ended with Rachel going to Ross's apartment angry that he could think she did not care if she said goodbye to him. She tells him that he is the hardest to say goodbye to because she cares about him the most. Ross impulsively kisses her. When it was over, Rachel then kisses Ross and the episode ended with that.

Phew!! I hope I didn't forget anything!!

Did Ross happen to mention that he'd miss Emma at all?

I didn't hear anything about her at all, other than there was a box packed for her.

O.K., I don't watch the show often, I gave up watching it religiously years ago -- but I do tune in from time to time.

Do they EVER show Emma? Or ever explain her absence? Or give any excuses why Rachel and Ross have hours upon end to sit around the Central Perk without a care in the world (who is watching that baby??????)

O.K., I know its just a TV show, but still!

I was wondering about Emma also. Is she going to Paris with Rachel? My son thinks that Ross will move to Paris with Rachel in next week's episode. I hope he is right!

Nope, there was no mention or sighting of Emma at all, except to say this is Emma's box.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they created a storyline around Ross and Rachel having a baby, the baby is barely mentioned for the entire next season, and then she leaves for France and the whole existence of that same baby is a non-issue.

I don't know... it seems like having your child taken to another country is at least worth a pout.

Sorry it took me so long to thank you for the update, I AM SO MAD that I feel asleep, but I had to watch Survivor at 8 and I knew I could watch Friends again at 11pm, I never go to sleep before 1200am on Thursday because there is so much tv to get in I blame my husband because there was a Red Wing game on and he shued me into the bedroom to watch my shows my big mistake was to get into bed and start watching, i even missed the last 15 minutes of ER. Thanks again for the recap. Hopefully I can catch this in the summer. BUt I did hear they were making a dvd of this last season to be out like two weeks after the last show.
