I am going by myself in a couple of months. We just took the family recently, then this opportunity came up. So, I will only be there for one day and I'm not sure how long into the evening yet that I get to stay. Since I have recently done all the rides and attractions, I thought a scavenger hunt would be fun. Those of you who go regularly and like to think creatively might have fun with it! There are some things that I want to do while I'm there, so it can't take up all my time, but it might also help me see some things I might otherwise miss.:wizard:

SO, anyone want to play???:worship:

I don't have any ideas for this but I'll be watching this thread! I would love some ideas though since it sounds like a blast. We've done all the rides, gotten autographs for several years now and did the penny pressed last trip so a scavenger hunt would be something fun and new to do.

My family and I would also love to do this type of activity. It sounds like so much fun!

I writing up a script for my own families hunt right now...and I can't share because I know my daughter visits here quite often...however I have a suggetion if you don't already know him...

How about making your mission to find Albort? :upsidedow

This is completely OT...sorry OP.....

Dopey'sMIL, how far is it from Boise? My family lives in Boise, Kuna, Fruitland, Payette and we are considering a move back....if jobs were to work out. Anyway, just wondering how far it is to drive to the Land?
Thanks
:)

From my front door to Harbor Blvd....942 miles!:)

My dh is going to be gone during a couple days of our trip next week, so I was just telling the kids that maybe we could play a game or something while we're at DL, but I wasn't sure what to do! I would love some more ideas, too! Or even ideas of just how to get started! :)

From my front door to Harbor Blvd....942 miles!:)

that's not too bad...about double what it is for us right now. :) When we drive to Mom's from home it's about 650 miles...or so, that's not exact but it's close.
Thanks :)

Because DL is so clean there is not a lot to scavenge...

But perhaps with a camera you could do a photo scavenge....

1. Photo with Jack Sparrow on Pirate island
2. Photo with Donald Duck (this is harder than you think...)
3. Photo with a CM (Albort if you can find him)
4. Photo from Alice when the car goes outside
5. Photo from the top of the matahorn (blurry is OK)
6. Photo of you on Splash (Picture of the one they display on the screen is OK) ie take a photo of the screen
7. Emailled photo of you on Buzz with at least 20000 points can give you a tip on how to get this many points easily)
8. Photo at night infront of garden at main entrance
9. Photo of screen on Space Mt showing you at front (you can request a front seat)
10. Picture of Eeyore parking sign inside theatre area of Indy
11. Picture of bones (the skeleton with the mickey mouse ears) on Indy
12. Picture of the Moose heads inside Winnie the Pooh
13. Picture of a Dolewhip inside the Tiki Room
14. Jungle Cruise map (you don't have to ride to get one)
15. Pirates Lair map
16. Photo with Billy Hill

Another thing you can do is try to get all the cards, lyrics and oddities the park offers.

Autopia, get a DL

Get a photocopy of the translator for Indy

Get the words (this used to be in the Gallery but now I am not sure) to POTC, Tiki Room and HM

Get your fortune told by Esmerelda and get your advice from the Doctor in the Adventure land shop.

Maybe find two new and two reused script jokes on JC

Find out what cartoons play in the Main Street Cartoon Theater

Maybe have a CM adventure. Use a autograph book or a notebook to record your adventures and try to find and get autographs from CM's with names from Disney Films. This could be fun for any age.

These kinds of things are almost all free (or cost under $1) and get you involved with new, old and just plain fun things in the park!

Great ideas! I'm keeping a list! Keep em' comin'!!!! This is gonna be fun!

Try to find the golden spike that marks the (old) center of Disneyland.

Even though this isn't really something to "find" you should go to TT and open the door that says "DO NOT OPEN" it is near the back corner near the dog pound.

I'm 5 miles from Boise... one trip to the airport, and one straight shot to LAX and I'm there! (DRIVE??? Oh yuck.) I have a friend who does it often and loves it! She says it gives her time in the front seat with her husband while the kids are in the back seat. I'm happy with my husband sitting across the aisle in the seat next to my 5 year old, keeping him full of gum, suckers and batteries for his games on the flight!

I also would love hints on where to find a stork & who/what Barbosa is on the photo hunt. :confused3
