Anyone waiting for 2010???

Hopefully we will be going in April 2010. I am planning on my family and my parents to go. We are planning to do everything and experience the best of WDW. I want to stay a whole week at the Polynesian and have character breakfast every morning for my DS.
I had this experience when I was in high school after winning a trip for four, all expenses paid trip, to WDW. I want the same for my family and to take my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary.

If anyone has any suggestions on what I must do while there please let me know.

TIA
Cheryl

How long have YOU been on the board?? Check and see- it should help you feel good about the time that has already quickly passed!

Jessma,

I've been here for 4 months, although I haven't posted much lateley. DH and I joined the YMCA a month ago and have been there at least 4 nights a week so it's seriously cutting into my DIS time
but I need to be in tip top shape for all of that touring I'll be doing in WDW in 2010! :thumbsup2

5 months on this thread for me too! What a great feeling!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

I have been on the thread since 07 but that was because we planned a trip to Universal last year...

Oh goody....2010 people.:cool1:

We were planning on going on Aug 21-29. I was thinking that most kids will be in school, so it probably won't be as packed.

But I haven't narrowed down my resort choices, but I do know that the Polynesian is first choice. Love it.
then
Contemporary
Pop
Beach Club

Pick me!!! Pick me!!!

I'm planning to go May 2010 - as long as our Aussie dollar doesn't drop too much against your dollar! (It has fallen more than 25% in the last 3 months - have no idea why - too complicated for this brain I'm afraid!!! :confused3 ;) )
But hope to see you all then!!!

We are hopefully heading to WDW in Aug 2010. My kids will be getting ready for middle school (6th grade), so thought it would be a fun celebration for them and me (birthday) to go to Disney. We are wanting to stay at Beach Club with the awesome pool. Saving our pennies :):thumbsup2

That is fantastic!! Keep up the great work! It helps move the time along when there is something else to think about- like all that energy you are going to have when you head to WDW!!

We're planning to go back in January 2010. It will be our first trip being a new DVC member and we're staying at our home resort, Boardwalk.:cool1:

We're going in Jan. of 2010 also!!! (Did I already post pages back? Can't remember now) :rolleyes2

There will be 8 of us(extended family) and I'm not sure if we'll be onsite or off.

Things I want to do that I didn't do last trip:
First, I want to do everything from last trip, PLUS...
TOT&RRC(I was chicken last time!)
Illuminations
Get all the way around World Showcase
take it a little slower, try to plan so that we can relax in the afternoons
character dining

Somehow I'm not sure I can fit all this into the trip and still relax and take it slow! :confused3

I want to join in! We just got back from our first family trip 2 weeks ago and I'm already thinking about next time. My husband thinks I'm crazy but he went from being totally against going to wanting to go back someday. We've talked about going just the two of us for our 20th (2012) and with our girls before that. We loved the ASMu suites and I love the idea of the new Fast Service DP. We all want to go off season and fly next time. We made the newbie mistake and trying to do it all, plus the fall break crowds and high humidity just did us in.

I definately recommend TOT, that and EE quickly became my favorite rides, and I tend to be a bit on the chicken side. I'm going to have to really try hard to convince myself to do Space Mountain again, it scared me to death. I'm also hoping to build the courage to ride RRC next time because I chickened out on that one, I even had the fast pass for it!

Before my trip in Sep 2008, already earmarked Sep 2010! Harry Potter fan as well, and Hogwarts!!! When I watched the first Harry Potter Movie, I thought, now that would make great amusement park rides ---beginning with the ride at Gringots bank!

I'm not alone! Our last family trip was in 2005 for a week at POR. Probably headed back to POR in 2010 in June or July. Ds and I are huge Harry Potter fans so a day or two at Universal will be on the schedule. Are we there yet?

Counting down!!:woohoo: Jan 14-Jan 24, 2010, Wilderness Lodge or Poly. We cannot decide!! :confused3
Just came back this year from Pop Oct 15-19 and ASsports June 11-June 24. I cannot believe I have to go a whole year without going back!!

Wow-how did I miss this thread?? We are planning for April-May 2010 for DH & my 25th anniversary. We have been 5 times with our 2 DS's & this will be our first time without kids!!! We have never stayed at a deluxe but want to stay at Beach Club. We want to maybe sleep in a little, enjoy the pool, eat lots in Epcot & just enjoy the sights, sounds, smells..everything. Cannot wait!! I thought I was so alone in planning for 2010 until I found all of you here:cool1:

We are planning on a trip for the firs week of Dec.2010 and let me tell you, I have become OBSESSED with this board. I thought DH would think me silly for all the early planning, but he is starting to look forward to some of the things I have mapped out so far. We have even decided to bring along my DF and MIL.

This trip is going to mark so many celebrations for our family. First off, it is DH,DS and my first trip to WDW. This will also be DH and my anniversary. We didn't have a honeymoon so this is a BIG deal! This will also be my MIL's first time. As for my DF, the last time he was in the world was 1977 with my late mother, so this is kind of like a first time for him as well. He will also be celebrating his 65th birthday shortly after we come back from WDW so it is his Bday gift from us. PHEW! I think WDW may run out of occassion buttons just on my family alone!

ME! ME! ME! We're planning on Dec 26-Jan 02...2011.

We are actually leaving for our next trip in 26 days. In all our excitement about this trip my SIL managed to talk my brother into trip with us. Naturally we had no trouble agreeing to that. Between my daughters' and their sons' school/sports schedule, the only week we all have off is Christmas. So, in 2010, there will be 9 of us: me, DH, 3 DD, who will be 15, 13, and 9, my DB and SIL, and nephews who will be 17 and 11. Aghhhh!!! That sounds so grown up...right now they are 15, 12, 11, 9, and 7. We are thinking about YC/BC...maybe a villa, by renting points. We are very excited about our 2008 trip but, it will be such a blast to go with my brother and sister in law...my daughters are so excited to go with their cousins. Already started the countdown. 25+ months!!! Count us in!!!

We're planning on the end of Feb, not definate on the date yet. Likely around the 20th....and we're hoping to do 10 days this time.
We went with my in laws last year (Oct-Nov) for the first time in over 10 years for us and the first time for our kids.

This time we're heading down with my BIL/SIL and their two sons, plus MIL/FIL and us (dh, me, dd, ds)
We are likley staying off site again. Last time we stayed in Windsor Hills....not sure this time as my inlaws are having to bring their dog, as they will be vacationing with us, then heading to Rotundra for thier month in Florida (ahhh to be retired!). So we're looking for pet friendly, and have found quiet a few :)

I am very excited to be going again, as DH wasn't sure we would do so "anytime soon"!
It's my SIL/BIL first trip and their boys will be 5 and 3...my dd will be 8 and my ds 6 .... all 1/2's as they will be 6, 4, 9, and 7 that summer (2010) Wow! Where does the time go!

Anyways, it should be a blast! We're hoping to do Sea World this time around...and possibly Busch Gardens...in addition to Disney! I wanted to do Universal too....with Harry Potter and all, but I think we'll be waiting till "next time" !
