I've heard mixed reviews about this restaurant since it opened at City Walk.

Anyone have any recent reviews?

Hi

Visited in September 2006 and really enjoyed our meal, DH had fish n chips and I had shrimp salad. We tried Bubba's in New York 2 years ago and were really looking forward to the one opening at City Walk and were not disappointed - will definately visit again when we are there in April.

Thank you ~ The menu looks really good and I was thinking about going there before HHN:thumbsup2

I have been to the one in NY and it was fab :thumbsup2

We enjoyed it in November. I had a bbq pulled pork sandwich which was the best i've ever had. DH had salmon i think and enjoyed it too. Service was good and we liked the "go forest go" and "stop forest stop" signs to attract the servers attention.

Enjoy:goodvibes

We ate at the one in City Walk in January. We liked it--although were suprised at the 30 minute wait on a slow Monday night in mid-January! Food and service were both good, but not excellent.

We ate there last July and it was great. There is a thred on the universal bit re resturant in city walka nd Bubba fairs well.

We have been to the restaurant in San Francisco twice (great location on Pier39) and to the City Walk restaurant once. All three times the food has been good but I find the menu rather small and limiting. I am not a great fried food fan for appetizer and entree and it can be rather difficult at times to eat something different from the previous visit.

Claire ;)

Thanx everyone for your responses ~ It's in for our trip in November:cool1:

We've been to the New York one a couple of times and went to the Citywalk one over Christmas and never had any problems. The food is always good and the theming is lovely definately worth a visit :thumbsup2

Been to San Francisco Pier 39 twice, the new Santa Monica one and the Times Square one a couple of times. Which sort of say's we think they are superb. I agree it's a limited menu, but the quality, staff and atmosphere more than make up for that. To be honest too much choice isn't such a great thing sometimes. City Walk will be getting a visit in a few weeks - can't wait.

Did any of you prebook or is it fairly easy to get a table? Thanks.

Just turned up at all the Californian ones, but in New York they would reserve if there was a large party and you prepaid some $, but for a family of four the answer was no. Only asked in New York as Times Square on a Saturday night is pretty lively !
