Anyone Visit September 2007

We just booked for September and wanted to ask about the LOVE BUGS this past September. When were YOU there and how were the bugs....THANKS FOR ANY INFO!

We visited Sept 9, 2007-Sept 15, 2007. We didn't see any.

We were there September 15-22 and we saw them most often at our hotel, All Star Movies. I didn't see many in the parks, but when we waited for the bus at our hotel, they were present. I wouldn't say it was a swarm, but it was a bit annoying.

A little girl who stood in line with us just FREAKED OUT when they flew into her or near her face. Her mom put her in her little sister's stroller and covered it up with the thin blanket. The little sister, about eighteen months old, didn't seem to mind the bugs at all.

We were there September 14-22 and only saw a few. And I mean only a few. I'm hoping next year is the same!!

We took a short trip last Sept & did see the lovebugs. It wasn't nearly as bad as I have heard some people talk about. They were not covering everthing - we mostly saw them on the trams and around the pools. I don't remember seeing nearly as many in the parks. So, I'm thinking they were either just "getting started" or the season for them was ending.... Hope this helps!

We were there from the 15-22 also and I don't remember seeing any at all.

We were there the 13-22nd and saw literally 2 or 3 at AK and that was all.

We were extremely thankful since we were there in 2006 and they were horrendous!!

I was there the end of Sept - 27th through the 3rd and saw a few, love bugs don't bother me unless they are thick.

We were there from 9/21-9/28. We saw very few until the last couple of days were were there. We took an afternoon break on the 27th and they were getting annoying enough at the pool that we left. On the 28th, we hit MK in the morning and saw hords of them around the trash cans between splash mountain and big thunder mountain railroad but few anywhere else.

We've been in Disney World every September for the last 4 years. This past year we were there mid month and saw a few here and there. The year before, 2006, we visited towards the end of the month and they were everywhere, in swarms, it was pretty overwhelming. Years previous to that, visited early to mid September, saw nothing memorable. I don't know if there's a pattern or a way of predicting.

September 29-October 2, 2007. We only saw them at Epcot (by the turnstiles to get in, up to the fountain area) and the Beach Club Resort (by the bus area). They were a little annoying but not bad.

We were there 9/16-22 and just saw a few lovebugs on our last evening. When I say few I mean like 3!

Sept 3-8, saw very few, mostly on the white benches.

Sept 27-Oct 5, still not very many except for one particular booth at the F&W festival. I can't remember which one, it was near Canada. For some reason they were thick there but nowhere else.

We were there from 9/2 to 9/9 and saw none.

They were only noticed in EPCOT near the Land and near Canada Pavilian....annoying but didn't drive me out of the park.

I have heard they are worse in May ~ is that true?

We were there the 7th through the 21st. We didn't see any. I was actually looking forard to seeing them. Oh well, maybe next year.

Sorry I don't know how to quote, but as far as May. I have gone 3 times during May since 2003. The first two times I didn't even notice them, wouldn't even know what you were talking about. This past May they were EVERYWHERE. Our truck was completely covered with them from driving. I couldn't believe it. I hope its not like that this coming May.

We were there at the end of September and we saw quite a few. The good thing to remember though is that they are harmless, which, if you have to have a lot of bugs around, is a good thing! Imagine mosquitoes in the same quantities! We also saw them years ago in April (we're talking mid-70s here). That was our first experience with them and, wow, there were loads of them that year.
