With no limit on the amount of Air Miles Dream Travel Certificates a person can use, I was thinking of using these to pay for our stay at Universal Studios. Either Royal Pacific or Cabana Bay - unsure which yet.
However, I'm re-doing my spreadsheet to factor in APH rates (when available) to compare and I just realized TripCentral is charging much more than if I booked direct with Universal Studios. Is this the norm?
For example a 2 queen standard room (water view) at Tripcentral is showing $291.57/nightly for a total of $2,296.11.
On US it's listed at $229.56/nightly for a total of $1,807.81.
That's almost $500 difference.
Maybe Tripcentral doesn't book with the SMSM rate available? If not, I wonder if Tripcentral would book Royal Pacific with the APH rate when it comes out? Or is that available through Universal Studio's website only?

Why the heck would not all of Canada be able to use Tripcentral? The other companies mentioned can book RPR and CBR - but seriously? No hotels? How the heck did I miss this? Argh!
Thank you for pointing this out before I started ordering my travel certificates. I almost have enough for $300.
