Hi!

This will be our families first trip to Disney with my DD age 5. I invested in the Prince and Princess package and have gone ahead and booked my PS at CRT. My question is dealing with the special seatings for the shows. Where do you get to sit and how do the CM's know that you have this package and get this special seating? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

While you are answering those questions....what is the prince and princess package?

Since January 2nd when Magic Your Way mades its debut, the Prince and Princess plan ceased to exist.

All packages booked prior to Jan 2 will be honored.

You have to book your seats for the shows up to 90 days in advance. You will receive a coupon book with tickets for each show and you present these at the entrance to show. A CM will have your name on a list - shows do sell out (although probably not as much now since these package add-ons are no longer abvailable) and will escort you to preferred seating - generally front row.

You can book your seats that far in advance but you don't have to. We went in August and didn't book until about a week in advance. We found it pretty impossible to use ALL of the special seatings - having to commit to a particular performance just hemmed in our schedule too much.

You need to be at the shows about 30 minutes early and they take you to an alternative entrance for the shows. They let you in first. The playhouse disney seats are in the front but off to the side - if the line isn't long it might pay off to just stand in line; but that's up to you of course.

Have a great time with your princess and or prince!

Yea...I hate to think that I have to call in advance to make these special seatings. With a 5 year old I don't have any intentions of being on a schedule or having to be at a certain show at a certain time. I wonder if I can make these reservations the day we are going to be in that park. So when do I get the coupon book...do I receive that with my packet of stuff after I pay in full for our vacation. We're going the last week in April and I don't have to pay in full until March. Also...does anyone know where you can buy those awesome princess costumes on the planning video. I'd like to get some before we get down there.

You will get your tickets with your vacation packet. We didn't schedule our seats that early either but just did it about a month before. But, most of the show times were already booked up. I would guess that since they no longer offer this package, the seats wouldn't book up as fast. We had to go to MGM on a different day because we wanted front row Beauty and the Beast seats. Our TA said a lot of people don't like having the schedule to go by. It wasn't that bad because it covers several parks and was only a few shows in each park. I would try to get the Beauty and Beast seats early. Poccahontas was front row but to the sides - kids get front and center seats so that one doesn't matter much. We were front and center for Playhouse Disney.
Lillian Vernon had some really nice princess costumes at halloween. Not sure if they still have any but you can check on line. They were much nicer that the usual one with the character's face stuck in the middle of the dress. (I've never understood why they do that. Cinderella doesn't have her face stuck on her gown. And I think most people could figure out who you are supposed to be!!!)
