Anyone used points to travel to Mexico or Europe???

Just wondering if anybody out there has used there points in Mexico or even in Europe? Is there any fee for exchanging points??? If you have I would love to hear from you.

We exchanged last year, but that was when DVC was part of II. We were really bummed that we wouldn't be able to go back to the Royal Sands again. We loved it!

Currently there is a $95 exchange fee

There is a fee, it's $95. Once you exchange (usually 160 or 270 points), then your points are gone and your subject to the risks of a fixed vacation down the line. Often you can get the same or similar reservations better and cheaper in other way. IF you are looking to buy with exchanging in mind, don't, just buy less points or don't buy at all. That goes for DCL and other exchange options as well. The costs are too high and the risks are even higher for programs that have changed a lot over the years and could go away tomorrow. There are FAR, BETTER and CHEAPER ways to get to MX and Europe than using DVC.
