Anyone used National or Alamo car hire at Dolphin hotel?

I'm staying at BWV and then moving to SSR so was looking to book a full size car from either National or Alamo at the Dolphin hotel.
Alamo are charging £336 and National £315 so thought I'd go with National but have never used them before. Has anyone had any experience of picking a car up from the Dolphin?
Also thought I might join National's Emerald club but it looks as though it's mostly for business users. Anyone found the club to be of any benefit?

there the same firm just differnt parts of the same group,go for the cheapest no problem.just avoid lunch times as there not usaly around and work office hours not round the clock like the airport locations

I've only just seen this post but I pick my car up from Alamo at the Dolphin every holiday as I don't like to drive after the 9 hour flight. It's easy and much less hassle (IMO) than collecting from MCO plus I've been upgraded every time for free... I'll be doing it again next week - can't wait!!!

My only advice is to get there in the morning as it's a busy conference hotel and they can/do run out of cars when people decide to rent a vehicle on the spur of the moment...

We picked up ours from the Dolphin in February without any trouble. The lady on the desk was really friendly, she didn't even attempt to talk us into having an upgrade of some sort. We collected it about 2pm and there were no queues and we were out side waiting for the car within 10 mins.

We picked our car up from Alamo at the Swan & Dolphin last year and it was so easy to do and something I would definately reccommend, much better than picking up from the airport fter that long drive
