Anyone used Cosco Scenera car seat on plane?

We got this for Grami's car and to bring on our trip. Suddenly I'm concerned that it won't fit on the plane seat! Has anyone used this seat on a plane?

We are planning on using a Scenera (the tan one though) as well but I think it should be fine. DD's normal seat is a Britax Marathon but that sucker doesn't leave our car. LOL Don't want to lug that beast around so we have the Scenera for using in other people's cars and for our next WDW trip.

When my oldest DD was 2, we used a car seat for her that I think was a little bigger than the Scenera so there really shouldn't be any problems on the plane.

We used the Scenera on our flights in April with no problems. In the past I've traveled with Britax seats and the Scenera seems smaller than those. The only issue was had was that it was difficult to install the Scenera rear-facing in the rental car. I don't know if you're renting a car and/or if you use the carseat RF, but I thought I would mention it, just in case. :)

I have used it as well on Southwest and it worked out great! The seat is not too big and I actually had a lot of room sitting between my DD and my husband. I also have to tell you that it wasn't that bad carrying it either becuase its light. I think I'd die if I had to carry my Britax thru an airport as they are much, much heavier the the cosco.

I have used our Britax Advantage (older seat), Graco Platinum CarGo and Britax Boulevard on our flights over the last 7 years (USAirways, AirTran and most recently Southwest) with no problem whatsoever.

The Scenera is a popular "travel" seat since it is lightweight and easy to carry. Hundreds of people on the car seat boards have used them w/ no issues.

My best friend has flown about 8 round trips in the last three years w/ it w/ no problem (forward facing or rear facing). I think all the flights were on Southwest.

Thanks everyone... I feel much better now! We have Graco Safeseats in our cars and there is no way I would lug that big ol thing through an airport! We are renting a car but DD is forward facing now so installing it is no biggie. I was pleased at how easy the Scenera was to install.

One more thing checked off of my "To Do" list! Thanks again!

Just chiming in too..we have used the Scenera on all of our plane trips with no problems...it is nice and light to carry through the airport. good luck!

Totally fine.

The ONLY issue has been making sure the seat gets through the xray machine at security. I kept putting that part on the bottom that can move into a position where it couldn't get through the machine, and the TSA agents had to move it down (they are experts, it seems). I just kept forgetting!!!

Oh yeah, it fits nicely in the seats. The Scenera is one of the narrower, less bulky convertible seats on the market.
