I just entered a few ISBNs with laughable results. :( I was hoping to make a little on my large collection of novels, etc--but I don't think that's going to happen. Back to Ebay, I guess.

No, I haven't used them but, I am looking to sell books too! Not looking to make tons of money as I found the books in my attic. There from the 70's USTA books in great condition but, I don't want them!

I too have books that need to go! I would even be happy to find someone to trade with. I have sold on ebay before, but you don't make much there either.

Oh, My! They don't pay anything do they. I just priced a book that has sold on e-bay recently for $6 and they offered me $1. What a rip.

Have you looked to see if there are any used bookstores in the area? You can often find somewhere to give you more in store credit then cash back.

I've used valorebooks.com but that was only for textbooks. My guess is that you're not going to get much money for novels from any site on the internet. The big money in book buybacks is in textbooks. Unfortunate, but true. My guess is that ebay is your best bet. Probably more work, but also more money. Good luck!

You do have to account for the eBay & Paypal fees you'd pay to sell on eBay. So you don't really make $6 on a book when the winning bid is $6. You probably clear $3-$4, less if that $6 includes shipping.

Check around and see if there are any used book stores in your area. I have one that will give store credit or cash. You do get less cash, but I just added it to my Disney fund.

I took in a bunch of books and they gave me $44 and $13 store credit. I could have had $100 store credit, but I would never use that much now that the kids are older.

Have you tried half dot com? They are a susidiary of Ebay. There's no upfront fee. You just pay a commission when the item sells. You are also reimbursed a set amount for shipping. I've had a lot of success selling our used books and games there.

Try looking up your books on BookScouter.com instead. It compares prices from about 40 different sites, including Cash4Books.

I have sold a few books on ebay and henstly they go for nothing there too. Unless it is brand new out, I am lucky to get a dollar for a book, and then you have top pay fees on that sucker. Not worht it. So I donate now
