I am very interested in doing this, but of course wanted to get some feedback from you guys if anyone has ever done this. It almost sounds too good to be true. Anyone have any comments?

Yes. I've been doing it for quite a while, and it really is pretty great. I buy alot of the stuff anyway, so why not get some college money for it? Sign up. :D

I do too! I'm happy with it. Like GG stated, if you are going to purchase the items anyway, it's a good way to get $ back. I cashed in a lot of air miles and it was a good return. :)

I had stated on another post, I wish I had known about Realtors giving $ back (towards the 529 program) when you buy or sell a home. Some companies kick in up to $3,000. That's pretty good!

I do it.
It's free money. I think we make a little over $100 a year.

Can you guys give a little more detail on how it works? Do you just register your credit cards? Or is it more involved for certain stores, etc.?

nope, you just register your credit cards and then when you shop online you go to Upromise first and then click on the link to that store. For Grocery STores and CVS, you have to register your store card.

You can also have relatives and friends register their store cards and direct the funds to you. My Mom shops at Krogers, and whenever she buys Coke, Tide, etc my kid's accounts get the money. It's pennies at a time, but it is free money.

If you go to upromise.com, you can register there. Have your credit and shopper's cards with you when you register. They list all the stores/restaurants/etc. that are participants. Whenever you use your cards for certain products/services you'll get cash back. It's really easy.:D

We've used Upromise for a couple of years. Although you probably won't accumulate a lot of money, you may be able to at least pay for a semester's worth of books.

And if you are planning on ever buying a GM car (new) they contribute $150...THere are several restaraunts in the country that also contribute 10% from your first bill each month. My dad has this set up for us, and while it's not a ton of money it's something. It seems like a very good program.
