If so... how did it work and what did you use them for??

Not yet, but I keep hearing about how you can earn double or triple the rewards but no mention of how. Any ideas??

I would also love to hear from someone who has used them. I have several to use on our upcoming trip in less than 3 weeks!!!
I hope they are easy to use.

I ordered a couple of Disney World certificates for our upcoming trip. Although it said allow 4-6 weeks for delivery, they came in about a week. I plan to apply them to our campsite or restaurant expenses. I too am waiting to hear about earning double or triple reward points.

I just used mine on my trip that was 2 weeks ago. It took the cashier (it was at the Beach Club's shop--Atlantic Wardrobe Emporium) a few minutes to get it done correctly, but it worked quite well. I used another certificate at the GF's gift shop, and that CM had no problem with it. It's sorta like "free money," and I loved using them. :teeth:

Can anyone explain to me how the rewards for this Visa work. I actually have one --and just used it for the first time over the weekend at the Disney Store. However, I guess I didn't read thru all the paperwork that came with it.

Help??

You'll get 1 Disney Dollar for every 100 spent. You accumulate the Disney Dollars, your monthly statement will reflect the number you have..... call the listed 800 number and they'll send you the funny money :)

Just to clarify - these are not the same Disney Dollars you can buy at TDS or other locations.

These are points that accumulate on your account, you can redeem the points for certificates in certain denominations to use at specific destinations WDW, DL, TDS

I redeemed $60 for my trip in May, I used some at a pin cart in the MK (took awhile for them to figure it out) and some at the store in Epcot by the Imagination Station.

A caution - be sure not to use these on purchase for less than the face value of the certificate - you will receive no change back.

Can you use them in resturants? Can you use them to pay off your resort charges?

Just back from WDW today!!! I had $70 total in Disney Dream Reward Dollars. I tried to use them several times at carts and stores in the parks and no one seemed to know what to do with them, so I just took them down to the front desk of the hotel (WL). They had to figure out how to apply them as the person I was working with had never seen one. But once they figured it out, they applied the $70 to the charges I had made to the room as I had already paid off the total owed on the room! I had no problems at the hotel at all, other than the time it took for them to figure out what to do with them!

I am also interested in hearing from anyone who has actually used their Disney Reward Dollars. I had originally planned on using them on my resort balance, but now I have the FT package, so it will all be prepaid.

Can you charge meals and purchases at the resort to your room?

What about purchases in the parks- can they be charged to your room?

It sounds like this is the easiest way to use the dollars. We don't go until August. Maybe the merchants will all be more familiar with accepting them by then!

In the meantime, I am charging EVERYTHING to the Visa. LOL

:)

If you have the rewards certificates you should be able to use them anywhere in WDW.

Remember these instructions

After they ring up your total - they must enter the value of the certificate ($10.00) they then must press Disney Coupon, they then must enter the code number from the back of the certificate. They must enter each certificate seperate.

After the first CM figured out what to do and I wanted to use other certificates, I politely mentioned that I knew these were new and that another CM had explained to me how to use them, in case the next CM also has trouble - I then tell them what I explained in the paragraph above.

These certificates are great - and they will get used to them soon - there are 1000's of people who will be showing up with them soon.

Have a Disney Day!

Thanks for the tutorial Trekker. I'm burning mine up (not really a good thing) for my trip in October. I'm planning to charge all our expenses on our room charge and then applying whatever rewards I have to that.

Trekker or justcruisin -- After you called for your "funny money," how long did it take for you to receive it?

I was going to use the rewards I had accumulated so far, but I like looking at my total too much!;)

Actually, I decided to go for being the first one who earned enough points to pay for an entire vacation. At the rate I'm charging I think I stand a good chance! ;) ;)

Seriously, I'm amazed at just how much I spend in a month! I never used a cc that had any type of rewards and rarely ever charged purchases. Now, if it's possible to put it on a card I use my Disney Visa.

Rather than use what I have now, I really would like to save them up so that it can at least make a good dent on our next trip.

I got my Disney Visa right before we left for our May trip. I charged the entire thing to get the points. So, If I had a $3000 balance before I pay it off, I will have $300 to go toward my next trip?
(Guess I should've read all the paperwork that came with the card...LOL...I just liked it for the Mickey icon on the red credit card.)
If this is the case...bye bye American Express! I used to like to use that for everyday stuff and pay off at the end of the month, but now I'll switch to the Disney Visa.

I wish the rewards were that good! You'd have $30 in rewards. It pays 1% or $1 for every $100 in purchases.

Isn't there a max. accumulation of 750 reward points per year? And for some reason I thought they were only good for 2 years.

Anyone up on that??

This is a quote from "Your guide to Disney reward Dollars" (Except for certain promotional offers that may apply from time to time, you will be only allowed to accumulate a maximum aggregate amount of 750 Disney Dream reward Dollars, each calendar year, which ends with your December billing statement)also stated( Reward dollars have no block-out dates and may be used for a full 5 years from the time they are earned, unless your account is closed or not in good standing). To get special bonus offers or double or triple or more Disney Dream reward Dollar offers it says to apply online at www.BankOne.com/Disney I have tried twice to apply online with my cc # and I got an error message.

Bahahahaha! Well Math was never my best subject. LOL
Yeah, that was too good to be true! But I'll take the $30 anyway!
