I am looking into it.... I have been thinking about buying one for my cats but I wanted to see if anyone has used it and had good success..... let me know what you think of it.... Thanks

I'm interested in it too........but I need it for my dh. He hates clipping his toenails and they get to be an inch long and gross.:scared: So, I told him Santa is going to bring him one of these!

Too funny hopefully someone will give us some insight....

I have the Peti-Paws (got it at Wallyworld) and I love it. I hate trimming Max's nail, and the groomer never cuts them short enough, so they we getting too long. The PetiPaws thing is so easy to use, it doesn't bother him at all, and I can keep his nails short enough.

I got a Peticure (the more expensive one) and the holes on the guide don't line up well with the sandpaper head. I'm really disappointed with it. I saw the Petipaw and the hole for the nail lines up much better.

I had my cat at the Vet this week and asked him about it. He also said to use the Peti Paw.

oh look there's the ad at the bottom of the page!:lmao: :lmao:

Thank you all for your insight.... off to look for the peti paw

Do you think it would work well for a rabbit? I have 2 bunnies and I hate cutting their nails and don't get htem short enough because I am so scared of cutting to the quick.

We have one. Should have gotten one much sooner. Even our 75 pound scaredy cat fred does not mind it.

And you can round the nails instead of getting a razor sharp edge with a regular cutter. Great for wood floors, and for not scratching Grandma.

Just do not grind off a lot at once. THe nail can get hot and transmit the heat to the nerves. If they have long nails do half or a third and then move to the next nail, then come back and do more after it has cooled.

we got them used to it by running it next to them without touching them at all. then shut it off and waited a day to do it again. Then held it on them, in a playful manner, while it is running so they get used to the vibrations and slight noise. A few more times before actually using it on their nails.

sorry, we have the pedi-paw version. $20 at walgreens!

I have it for my Golden Retriever. He has such huge claws that it takes awhile to trim them back. It works, but it smells really bad.

I got the Peti-Paws. It's okay. My dogs' nails have gotten really out of hand lately, so it's going to take some time to get them where we want to be.

I did all the easing them into the tool, but they both hate it. The little dog is absolutely terrified and the bigger dog tries to nip at us. DH has to hold them down to do it, and then the dog that's loose tries to rescue the victim.

Good times.

I bought a rechargable Dremel at WalMart and it does the job. I don't have to worry about sticking the nails in those holes either. Plus we can use it for other needs as well.
