Anyone use the new Universal Credit card?

At first I thought the free annual ticket and Visa Lounge might be worth the 100
I went with the no fee card, admittedly for the joy the classic monster design gives me when I see it in my card holder :p . The Interest rate is the scariest thing about the card, a definite pay it off monthly one lol.

wasn’t a fan of the U AP lounges TBH, didn’t think I’d really utilize even the more inclusive CC one. One of the deciding factors to go with the base card.

What I do find interesting, is hearing how many with the base card have been able to enter this lounge without issue. Not sure if a fluke or not.

Sort of surprised by that since they always make it difficult to enter - you have to show an ID as well as the card.
Its slightly better than the AP lounge, but no way is it worth the 100.
I think the extra points worked out to the point of break even - not really sure.
I also got the free one day ticket - but its of little to no value to me as I mentioned previously as I have an AP and it does not get you into Epic..

Yeah - the interest rate on almost all credit cards it totally ridiculous

I was so busy I kept trying to remember the lounge but forgetting about the lounge, and now I am back in Massachusetts.

I'm sure I would have remembered if it was more crowded but overall we found Universal and IOA much easier to manage crowd wise than in prior years. The walkways were more comfy and bathrooms less crowded, the extra attractions over at EPIC spread things out VERY nicely.

I think I will switch to the free one after this into year unless some major benefit shows itself. I could see keeping it if I were allowed to accumulate a few years of the gifted passes or got a once a month free parking I could save up and use for a family trip once a year but to pay $100 a year for no appreciable benefit to my family way of traveling is just silly. They need to answer the question, "Why am I giving you $99 a year instead of saving it to buy a ticket or pay for parking?"

That said the card getting 10% off saved us a lot of money on this trip. I can't see the rewards accumulated yet so maybe that happens at the end of the month instead of keeping a running balance like other cards but I have every receipt.
