Anyone use the National Carlson rate lately

Has anyone used the National Car rental rate lately? Any problems using it? It definately gives me the best rental rate. Saves at least $80 vs other codes.

I think I saw in Mary's newsletter that she was removing that code from mousesavers for some reason. I think she found out that it wasn't supposed to be for the general pubic.

Try www.rentalcodes.com--they have some of the codes-- Carlson, Priceless Vacations, etc. Good luck!

The Carlson code is: 5760339 I haven't used it in over a year since the Priceless code has been bringing up much better rates. In the past, I had done better using the Carlson code.

For my times, the Amex code STINKS!! I used it the past year, and always had good rates, until now. I used to use the Carlson every time when I rented here in town, now I use the Priceless.... No guilt.

I'm looking at 8 days in October. Previously at $242 with priceless + entertainment codes. Yesterday went down to $234, which I didn't understand since the rate was higher but the taxes & fees were lower. Carlson code brought it down to $213 just now.

Will I be asked for any special coupons or cards with the Carlson code?

The Carlson code is for travel agents. National *probably* won't ask you for ID, but they might. The code technically requires a travel agent ID such as an IATAN card.

That's why it is no longer on my site.

Thanks for your response and explaination - maybe the person who posted it will delete it. The rest of us have no way of knowing what is open to the public and what isn't... we just hear (read?) folks talking about it and want to get the best deal we can! Thanks for all you do to help us in that endeavor!
