Anyone use the Hal Higdon Half Training App?

I downloaded this the other day to check it out and see what it was all about after having followed the Half training plan from "Marathoning for Mortals" in the past. It seems as though the app is only geared for straight running, but I'm wondering if that's right. Is there a way to change it to a run/walk program?

I haven't used his app but I did use one of his marathon plans for my last full. From what I could tell his plans, even the beginner ones, were not aimed at run/walk intervals so I could see the app not having that option.

I guess that seems odd to me since there are different variations of training in "Marathoning for Mortals", which includes walking, walk/run, run/walk and running.

'Marathoning for Mortals' doesn't use Hal Higdon training plans. They are John Bingham/Jenny Hatfield. Having used his plans before for a 15K, Higdon isn't opposed to run-walk but does suggest using walking breaks during aid stations, not necessarily at regular intervals I believe.

I have never tried Hal's stuff, but I LOVE my Galloway 10K app. I am a real believer in the walk/run interals, as it has taken about 2 minutes off my 5k time. Now that I have a 10k coming up, I got this app and I really like it. You do 2 30 minute runs each week and then a long run. The app pulls music in from your itunes and then chims at the interals.
