I was thinking of purchasing one of the these for my niece and nephew who are going with us in June. Just wanted some reviews of others who had recently used them. TIA
A friend-you know the kind been to Disney 3 times as compared to our 25 and wants to tell me what is best for our February trip-told me that I need to buy the new 10 day passes they have a special on for $199. Is that what you are talking about? What are they?
No, the only 10 day pass I have seen is through Paramount Travel and they are more like $349. If your friend know of a 10 day pass that is $199 that is a great deal. Ask them where they saw that price.
A question regarding the 30 day pass! Do you have to use it in a consecutive 30 day time frame...or can you use it 30 times in an unlimited time frame? Where do you buy these?
What is a world pass? I am assuming it is not the same as a park hopper-what is the difference? I have a call into my friend to see just where she saw the 10 day world pass for $199.
Both items are for a limited time-frame. I may not be 100% accurate here but this should be pretty close.
10 Day World Pass - Use any 10 days after first use within a 20 day window.
30 Day Fun in the Sun - Good for 30 days from first use. I can't get this one to display on the site right now. May be missing it in my viewing?
Both are designed for foreign travellers with longer vacations.
In order to get them to display, I had to select the Foreign visitor selection. However, they will still allow you to order. (At least they have been).
199 pounds is equivalent to approximately $400. I guess it is still a good deal if you are going to be there for some time as a foreigner. However, since it is only good for a limited time after activation it wouldn't serve most purposes.
We just got back and used the 30 day pass. They are good for 30days after you first use them. (I hated to come home.) We were at the parks for 12 days. They include everything and costs 310. All 4 parks , water parks, PI, disney quest and even the space center. They even gave us vouchers for free character breakfast. That would have ran us $100. We bought them from Rosa at paramount and hope they are still around next time we go. Gina
You are mailed vouchers which you trade in for tickets. They look like pop-hoppers but are made out of paper. I thought they were a little cheap considering you are using them for 30 days. They did a finger scan everytime you entered a park.
Has anyone had any trouble with these? Or am I not getting something here.
It was stated in one of the post, that these passes are for foreign travelers. But we in the US can still purchase and use?
I would just hate to purchase then get to the gate and someone say "Well you are from the US you can't use these".
Please HELP DH wants UHP (we will be there for 9 days) the 10 day pass would be much cheaper and does the same thing. Would love to not spend any more money than we have to.
I purchased the 10 day world passes from the U.K. for my 10 year old son and I in July of 2003. No one ever asked either one of us for I.D. or anything. We were there for 2 weeks and were able to do it all! In fact I am going to purchase these same passae for our trip in 2005. Good luck to you. Have the most fun ever in the land of the mouse!!!!!!! Mimimom
I didn't go through the whole site but you need to check in the "International Vistors" sections.
I'm aslo not sure if the carry the 30day Fun in the Sun types.
I believe they just mentioned above that you have to call Rosa for the FIS 30 day passes. The current character breakfast vouchers expire the end of May and they do not know if they will have them after that or not yet.
Normally you submit your order and then you will receive an email and have to fax a copy of your credit card to them (helps against fraud for them I'm sure).
They are shipped via 2 day UPS if I remember correctly so make sure there will be someone there to sign for them.
No one ever asked - Disney indicated they have SO many types of tickets out there that often the computer is the only one who knows! If you were questioned, you could also indicate that you received them as a gift as an international party would have every right to purchase them and gift them to you.
