Anyone use Payless

Just booked with Payless and wondering if anyone else has booked. What is the good and what is the bad?

I did quite some time ago, and didn't like it.

We did in '99, we declined the hard-sell on the upgrade and ended up with a pretty lousy car that must have been steam cleaned 5 minutes before we got it.

All week the thing fogged up every time we used the car. It was really annoying.

That said, much could have changed since then. Unfortunately, the mousesavers.com website doesn't suggest much has changed since then.

I booked with Payless a little while ago and will never go with them again. In addition to everything all4fun said about them, they also "threatened" my DH and I because we didn't want their insurance. They said if we got in an accident, we'd have to pay the daily rate on the car until they got it fixed.

Real hard sell people. I would go with someone else. Even if you pay a little more, it'll be worth it to be treated as a person instead of a "money machine".
