Anyone use Mears to get to Universal?

I was just wondering if anyone has used Mears to get to Universal and back to their WDW resort.

I've done it in the past with taxi cabs and it ran about $30 one way from the Boardwalk to US.

Any info would be apprecited.

Our last three trips we've used Mears to go to Univ.St. and to Sea World. It's worked out fine and we'll do it again this year.

It's 12.00 per person rountrip and we usually give the driver $2 or so each way.

They've picked up other guests at other Disney resorts but it's pretty quick and we enjoy the company. It's always been a van going.

Coming back you call them 2 hours before you want to go back. I think the pickups are on the hour (?). Going back we've been in a bigger bus but frankly I love the comfort after all day in a park. You'll make a few stops on the way back to Disney too.

If you've got 4 or more people, it might be same price to schedule one of the town cars.

hightown - Thanks for that information. I think I'll give Mears a chance.

One more question I forgot to ask. When you make the reservations for pick up in the mornings, how much time should I allow to get to the parks?? Say I want to be there by 8:00 what time would you be picked up?

I would say 7:00 ish.
If I remember correctly ....they only offered certain times for pickup to go to universal.
We never requested a different time other than those offered though ...so I'm not sure if you can request a different time or not.
