Anyone use ME recently without the yellow tags on your luggage???

Can you tell me if it still went smoothly? We had to register for ME today, only 15 days out from our trip and they advised us we would probably not receive tags in time. Our transportation company went out of business and since it was supposed to be a free round trip we don't want to hire another company and have decided to go with ME, but I'm nervous about doing it without the tags!

My DD and I carried on our luggage in June and August without any problems. Many people also did so on our bus. HTH

Does this mean you claimed it at baggage claim yourself? Or did you only have carryons to begin with?

We carried all of our luggage, checked and carry-on, to ME and brought it all ourselves. It was very easy to do.

Kind of off topic but I don't want to take up space with a new thread . . . is there a bathroom on the bus like the ones they use for the cruise line?

The DME buses have a bathroom BUT they sometimes use DCL and even Mears buses to fill in. I'm not sure if the Mears buses have bathrooms.

We did not put the tags on our bags... we went and collected then ourselves and brought them with us onto the bus.... they stored the bags under the bus and then carried them to our room. I thought this service was great and a lot better that I expected it to be after I read some of the bad things about it.

I called 3 days before my trip in September to book ME. I knew I wouldn't get any documentation. They told me all I had to do was take my baggage claim checks to the registration desk at the airport & describe my luggage and they would take care of everything. I chose to get my bags from baggage claim myself anyway. I took them to the bus myself. There's tons of room under the bus for the luggage. If you don't want to handle the luggage yourself when you get to your resort you will have to use the bellhops.
