Anyone use Hotel Kingdom???

I was just curious if anyone has ever used this service. I'm not really sure about the whole deposit thing... can someone explain how that works?

We're thinking of switching from the HRH to PBR because we keep hearing mixed reviews of HRH. We are looking for someplace romantic, yet fun, and I've yet to read a bad thing about PB. Hotel Kingdom had a pretty good rate ($179/night) AND since the hotel is sold out for the dates we need, this seems to be the only way I can get a room.

Any advice or experience w/ this would be GREATLY appreciated!

I recently used their service for the first time. I liked the fact you don't pay for the whole stay up front and they only charge $10 for change of plans.I have heard many good things about hotel kingdom. The downpayment for me on a HRH $169 room was $50.24

I will tell you what it says on my confirmation letter they emailed me: "To secure your reservation, you have been charged a downpayment on your credit card. This downpayment has been decucted from your room rent. There is a second downpayment of the first room night plus tax, whic is charged by the hotel on your credit card. The remainder plus tax is due and payble to the hotel upon checkout."

PS: If you're looking for quiet and romantic, the PBH is a fabulous hotel. You will love it.

I have used Hotelkingdom several times and never had a problem.. They do charge a small fee for changing plans. I am not sure of the amount but it was less than $25. I would definitely tell you to reserve with them.

I've used Hotel Kingdom 2-3 times in the past six months and they've been great. In October I made reservations for 3 nites at the HRH over New Years. At the time it was the only place with availability for that time for the HRH. When I checked back on their website in mid December they were offering a much lower rate and they still had the same dates available. They dropped my rate from I believe $229./nite down to $174./nite, for New Years Eve! When you check in the rate that the hotel shows for you will be the per nite rate quoted by Hotel Kingdom minus the per nite downpayment. It's a little confusing and I called Hotel Kingdom after I checked in because I was feeling guilty thinking that they had UNDERCHARGED me! So when you check in you will see a lower rate at the front desk, don't try to explain it to the front desk personnel, they don't know anything about Hotel Kingdom, they just know the net rate that is in their computer. It all comes out great and they definitely have the best rates. I got all of my Loews First perks, at HRH I was upgraded to a Deluxe Queen Poolview. When I used them to book a room at PBH I was upgraded to a two room suite (living room and seperate room with two queen size beds with two entries and two bathrooms). I just made a last minute reservation to go to PBH next week and I got three nites for $179./nite with the fourth nite free. When I had called 1-800-BEASTAR they didn't have availability for the whole 4 days and the rate If you don't feel comfortable booking it entirely on the internet you can call the toll free number and they are very helpful. They are actually located in Orlando so I think they are the first place that the Universal resorts wholesale their rooms to. Good luck!

I've had wonderful experiences with them also. I've used them 4 times and am using them again next month! Next to Priceline they're the best deal going!
