anyone use dollar before?

We usually use Alamo, but my goodness - they wanted 470 for a compact for our dates. Dollar wanted 208 for midsize or better. We reserved with Dollar. Any unexpected surprises? We have NEVER rented anything but Alamo.

They have been the butt of some recent (May 2010's) pushy and rude agent complaints notably regarding add on coverages.

I might have used Dollar before at Orlando but I don't remember. But I do remember my worst car rental experience, which was with Dollar (another city). A two hour wait in line to get a car, and when I finally got up to bat, they were pretty much out of cars except for one they could let me have for one day and I would have to bring it back and exchange it.

Most people do not have issues with Dollar. I would recommend joining Dollar Express (free):

This way you can go to the Express counter and avoid the hard sell. Call Dollar and have your Express number added to your reservation.

They are not my favorite agency, but not the worst in Orlando. I would definitely use them for a $200 savings.
