Anyone use cross body purses or backpacks when going ashore for sightseeing?

I use a cross body bag with a cable through the strap and also slash proof. It is large enough to hold my camera a wallet and few other small things. It has lock to keep someone from unzipping it. It is also slim enough no to be annoying. It is made by Travelon.
