Anyone use Costco (Ameriprise) for insurance?

Our State Farm insurance rates have gotten pretty outrageous. Looking to switch our auto insurance first. Wondering if anyone has used Ameriprise (it's what I get when I Google "Costco insurance") and if so whether you would recommend it.

I recommend Ameriprise! We have had them for several years. We first signed up when they had $100 bonus for Costco Executive members. I'm not sure if they still run deals like that. In CA we paid under $600 a year for 2 cars with high and full coverage. We just moved to AZ and evidently Phoenix has a terrible score for thefts and wrecks so it doubled. I didn't believe it but I called every major company and all were over $1500/yr for our 2 cars. Ameriprise is $1084 - but we also have renters insurance ($250; when we had homeowners it was around $600) so a two policy discount - I did get quotes for renters ins from the other companies that offered both, and none were close to Ameriprise.
Also, last year a girl hit my car but her friend was the "witness" so I was judged as at fault. It was only 700 damage to her car, but I did not pay anything and my rates did not go up when I renewed; in fact they went down, as they have every 6 mo since we started!
We do shop at Costco often - just enough to make our membership fee back in points - but even if we never shopped there I would pay the membership fee each year just to save on car insurance.
