This will be our first time to fly Continental. What are your thoughts about the company and what kind of experiences have you had? Thanks for any info.

I have always had a good experience with Continental and I fly them almost exclusively (hub here in Cleveland).

In my job I have had non-flying contact with them as a company, and they are top-notch.

Have fun!

Our first trip to WDW in 2001 was on Continental, from BUF through CLE. Now I ahve no flown a whle lot but can honestly say those flights were very enjoyable and comfortable.

My DS (5 at the time) was treated very well and even got some "caoptain wings."

Would love to fly with them again but they rarely come up as best price searches here - booked on delta for our August trip.

We flew for the first time on Continental last year (out of Sacramento CA to Orlando). We loved it! We usually fly American and Continental was so much better.

This year we are using United because their rates we so much lower. We wished we could have stuck with Continental, but with the money we saved it would buy more food for us at WDW ;)

This is always a loaded question.

At some point someone always turns up with a horror story.

Any airline can have a bad day and a LOT depends on the mood of the people you meet. So when the horror story turns up, try not to panic.

Just figure they meet the FAA reguations and will get you there! LOL!

Living in Cleveland, we take Continental almost exclusively. We've never had any major problems. I enjoy the direct flights.

Great. You have all helped me relax. No they were not the cheapest but offered better times with shorter layoverswhich is important to us because we are travelling with two young children and an adult is doing chemo. We have a pretty small aiport without a lot of companies to choose from and they had the best times we could get. Thanks for the help. Any more suggestions?

We love Continental also....although we usually fly US air because the are about $50 cheaper per ticket.

We have only flown Continental for the longest time. My dh has now tried Jet Blue and loves it.

When I've flown, it has been out of Newark where Continental's major hub is located.

I would say the passengers are generally a good crowd. The service was fine. The plane was pretty much on time, and the equipment was newer (737-900) rather than the older planes that I've flown with Delta.

Continental was slightly higher priced than some of the other airlines. I'm not sure it was worth it. Last year they were still serving meals on board for a flight from Newark to Orlando. Not sure if they still do. I think they might offer a service where you pay for your food now.

We only fly Continental (Cleveland-hub) or US AIR(Pittsburgh-hub) for FF miles. Both are very good.
Continental does seem higher priced if you try to book more than 8 months out.

Having flowned Continental to Managua, Nicaragua four times and to Orlando four times let me tell you they are very good. Much newer eqipment than Delta. Continental is owned (more than 50%) by Northwest and cooperates with each other's FF programs alonf with delta.

Im glad to have read this! Im flying for the first time! Im sooo scard! I picked continental hoping it was a good choice. I cant imagine driving from Cleveland, Ohio with 2 kids, that would be scarier than flying...LOL...Besides thats 2 days we could be in the park.
