Anyone use Avis Preferred Service?

How does this work? This is what their website says:

Give us your rental preferences just once and we´ll keep them on file.
When you arrive at Avis, skip the lines and the paperwork and go straight to your car at over 1,400 locations worldwide.
Our courtesy bus will drop you off by one of our newest cars, or you´ll find it in a convenient parking space.

Does this mean we can choose a vehicle and just show our ID at the exit gate like Alamo? We have a double upgrade coupon (subject to availability) so if we reserved a midsize, we can go to the full size aisle and pick one?

I've used it for business travel. At MCO, it allows you to skip the counter and go to the booth in the garage. You pickup your keys there. They assign the car. Many times I got upgraded from an intermediate to full size. They also have tried to upgrade me to an SUV and I have asked if something else was available (too big for me). At some airports they have your assigned car space number on a board, you find the space and your paperwork is in the car, you checkout at a booth. My company switched to National and Enterprise as our preferred companies, I choose National because of the car choice option.
