Just curious if anyone has an American Express Exclusively Yours card. It is not a charge card but an "incentive" points based card. You earn pts through your employer for certain things.

If you have used this card to book a stay at WDW can you tell me how it went?

Thanks

Too funny... The "Exclusivly Yours" card is one of my inventions... it was wierd for me to see that name on here. I developed that incentive program when I worked for Amex and then I left to go to grad school... Anyways too wierd. Let me tell you the issues people told our customer service dept about.

1. people occasionally had problems when they were splitting there trip between the EY card and a none amex card. I am pretty sure we fixed this issue with disney prior to my leaving, and I left over 4 years ago.

2. Some people had issues where they thought they could use the card in WDW. This is not the agreement we made with Disney. The card is good for booking packages only. Not room charges, not at the gift shops, not in the parks. You will be required to give them a regular charge card at check-in for room charges and anything you charge back to the room.

I tested and tested and tested the product and never had issues with it. Occasionally you'll get a reservationist that is not familiar with the point system on the card, just be a bit patient with them as it is not a common card to use. As long as book it all in advance and don't attempt to use the card in the parks or in your hotel you will be fine.

Oh yes, if you don't know how many points are on the card call and find out the exact amount. If you don't have enough points to cover the total amount of the package the card WILL decline. You need to have them run the card for the exact amount or less then the balance on the card. The remander can be payed for with another form of payment. Any other questions about it you can feel free to message me or post it or email me. Hope things work out for you, its nice to know people are using/attempting to use a product I worked so hard on!!! Thanks for making me smile!

I use the card so much it's worn out.

We use it at the Gap, Old Navy, J. Crew, Marshalls, etc. Every peice of clothing we have was bought with points I think.

I know you can't use it at the parks but thanks for reminding me.

I spoke with Disney the other day and their rules must have changed a little bit. A few years ago you had to pay for the entire package all at one time. Now you can call in whenever you get points and have them apply those points to your current balance. I didn't believe them at first but it actually worked.

We usually get points about once a month.

LOVE THE CARD.

I remember when my dad took us to WDW on "points" about 20 years ago when the points came from MERITS.

Have you ever heard of Merits?

I didn't think I was going to get any responses to this post.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, I do remember the pts system with Meritz. They are actually the company that I proposed my idea too. EY is a joint venture between Meritz and Amex. They had the incentive know how and obviously Amex had the rest of the program. I had a blast working on the program... Meritz is in St Louis and I was based in Salt Lake, I was back and forth every other week. I was tired as could be. I am going to have to call some of the other people that worked for me to tell them that I found someone that is using the card frequently. We were alway concerned that people used to the Meritz program would hate the new Amex one, so it is good to hear that it works for you!!! Again... I hope that the booking goes smoothly if you choose to do it.

Oh yeah... a quick comment on Disney changing their rules. I am glad to hear that, I know it was something the New business Develpment dept at Amex was trying to change with them... It works out better for Amex because they don't get so many calls from people that were having problems booking. And it saves Disney on training issues... Needless to say its better for the Card holder!!!
