Bummer about TT. We finally got Paige on it and she loved it. Now they're going to change it!! I'm sad about that. I don't generally like simulator type rides, so if that's what it is, there's one less thing to do in Future World for me. But, if it's open when we go in October, I'll still check it out.

Garden Grove buffet---- as far as buffets go--- I must say that one sounds really good!

And BRG... we'll always have BRG.

Yeah, this happened so recently that I haven't even had the chance to tell you!!

So here's what happened -- You know it was LC originally.....Then I thought I would be the nice loving wife that I am and change it to FF since DH is always talking about that place for some reason and we have never been there. So I changed it! This past weekend we were talking about where we were going to be eating on vacation and when we got to that day I told him that I had cancelled LC and booked something else that I thought he would like better. And he said -- Are we going to FF???

So I spilled the beans that we were in-fact going to the FF. So then we wants to see the menu and I bring it up and he then discovered that they don't even have anything on the menu that he likes. Are you kidding me??? He likes haddock and some other kind of fish, but they have salmon & catfish and some other kind that he doesn't really care for. I hate all fish so I was only going there for him and hoping to get a decent steak out of the place.

So I yell at him awhile (not really) and tell him that I gave up LC for nothing. I do a quick search and of course there is nothing available at LC that night. Not a surprise. So we run down all the other TS places at either the YC, BC, BWI, or Epcot - because we will be hanging at the resort that evening and planned to walk to dinner. And......We come up with the Yachtsman Steakhouse!!

Good grief. See what I get for trying to be nice???



Anyway --


Yes, we will always have BRG and Kona!! It makes me happy and sad at the same time.



I think the Garden Grove buffet sounds really good. I sure hope it is. I've never even read a review of the place.

Well I don't know how but I somehow thought you might end up at Yachtsman! I think the menu there looks wonderful. I was worried about you going to FF and not liking seafood-- so it should be a great meal since it is a steakhouse and you wanted steak!

Well I can't believe I am saying this, but I have never eaten at any of those places! And we have been to a lot of Disney restaurants!

I am very curious to hear what you think of Tony's. I've always been 'afraid' to try that one. I've heard lots of good things about Yachtsman's though. Kona is on my list for the next trip and I don't even have to ask what you recommend, b/c I already know!

T-Rex looks neat too, but we ate at the RC in AK once and thought it was just ok. Since it's owned by the same people, I'm not sure about that one. Did you think T-Rex was better than RC? And we thought RC was pricey too, although I've heard they have added those to the dining plan. Not sure if that's true though. I am very interested in the buffet you chose too! I don't think I've ever read a TR from anyone who has been there. Should be interesting!

You are really being adventurous and trying some new places this time!

Your ADR's look great! I am so excited you are trying Yachtsman...it's our favorite restaurant on property! I hope your family enjoys it as much as my family does.
I still cannot believe that we have never tried Kona Cafe! Every time we have an ADR there on a trip we cancel because we are usually too tired! I am determined to try it some day!

Seriously??? None of them?!! Wow that is surprising since we usually have similar taste in things!

Ton'y is really the only one I am a little worried about. You have to try Kona!! And yes, T-Rex is WAY better than Rainforest. I know they are owned by the same company, but there is no comparison. T-Rex is awesome! Great food, great service, and probably the neatest restaurant I've ever seen. Your DD would love it in there!!

Hopefully the Garden Grove at the Swan will be good. I've been wanting to try some places at the Swan & Dolphin!

I'm excited to be trying Yachtsman! Next time make your Kona ADR for like 10-10:30am. That way you don't have to get up early, you can still get breakfast, and you will be full until dinner time!

I really have never had a bad meal at Disney. I've liked every restaurant. I guess I'm not picky.
I made a list of all the restaurants we've been to for my BIL for his trip. I couldn't believe how many we've eaten at, yet there are still so many we haven't tried. At this point we try one new one each year b/c we can't seem to give up our favorites.
I'm gonna go pack the toiletry bag now

Yachtsman's is on my list, but we've always done DDP, and hubby insists on Cali Grill, and I just can't do 2 TS meals in one trip! Kona will be soon because I'm just dying to try Tonga Toast!! We usually only do one sit down breakfast per trip, and its always a character meal since that's the only character interaction I can force my kids into-they've always been a little freaked out! Big River Grill or T-Rex is on the list for the next trip-T-Rex if the kids won't freak, otherwise its BRG. It gets such rave reviews from you!!

We want to do Cali Grill too. Maybe next time we stay in the MK area we will squeeze it in.
You've got to try Tonga Toast!! We usually only do one breakfast per trip too. It used to be character meals, but Kona beats them all out now. And is about 1/3 of the price!

So it's report card day!! DS10 got 7 A's and 2 B's! DS13 (wow that's hard to type ) got 8 A's and 1 B and made the High Honor Roll for Middle School!! They just earned themselves a little Disney money!!

I have a thread i am doing, and when I went to mulitquote it wouldnt let me,,said to contact a moderator,...then when i tried later, it had quoted a thing from someone about not having a bridal shower... what the heck!? And, where you pick font, color and such at the top, mine is all weird and won't let me have anything but black.
