Two ppl disliked a sandwich. That's not really the same thing. My sibling dislikes the Monte Cristo, doesn't mean it's a bad sandwich.
I'm like your sibling! I tried it because it seemed to be the thing to do, but I'm like... oh, I just don't think I'm a Monte Cristo person. It is great if you like it, but it's not for me.
But as far as reviews of Tiana's so far, they've been mostly positive from what I can see. The only things I've seen that's gotten mixed reviews has been the Po Boy, the beignet and the mac and cheese. Some good, some bad, on all three of those items, so it likely depends on personal taste and also the freshness, etc. of the item in that moment.
The reviews for the shrimp and grits (probably the #1 item on the menu), gumbo, cornbread, muffaletta have been overwhelmingly positive from what I've seen. (I haven't seen a lot of people try the chicken, but the few that I did said it was good and not dry or anything.)
I'll be in the parks on Friday, Saturday & Sunday this weekend, so I'm hoping for at least ONE meal at Tiana's while I'm there. I don't do shrimp, but the gumbo and cornbread is calling my name.
