They now sell their car freshner in a gel form these days. I was at the flagship store in Deerfield, MA last weekend and picked up the MacIntosh. It smells so yummy in my car. It's a more consistent fragrance than opening the paper one - not as overpowering initially and it supposed to last longer. Right now they have only a few fragrances - Sage & Citrus is another and a couple others.

I will have to look for it. Have they finished the remodeling at the store yet?

I bought one at Linen's and Things. I have Macintosh Apple going right now! :)

Safetymom - I'm not sure of any recent big remodeling going on. Not since they took out the car museum and put in the kitchen/bathroom/outdoor stuff. That part of the store(bathroom/outdoor stuff)seemed a bit sparse on my quick trip in there last week. I get in there once in a while as I live about 10 miles away, but am always driving by on my way to the nearest mall.

I like to go there as I think it's the closest thing to Disney(landscaping, ambiance, displays, etc)here in New England!

I just picked up Macintosh tonight while I was in Bed Bath & Beyond! I got the car jar though and my car is smelling very appley. :)

I was at the store in July and they were working in an area towards the front. It was where you used to walk almost like down a hallway where they had the state candles and you could go right into the big room with samples.

Every time work sends me to Mass. or Rhode Island I always schedule a trip to Yankee Candle. I love the flagship store and Chandlers for dinner.

Last time I was there I got a coupon with my meal for $15 off a $50 purchase. That just about paid for my lunch. I don't have any problems spending money there. :)

Thanks for the info.

Safetymom- I know exactly where you mean. I have to admit I didn't wander that far into the store as I usually go into the entrance way over to the right. I just told my DH earlier I wanted to go to Yankee Candle on Sunday AM as they are hosting the "Cow Parade" for about 10 days. Kind of like when Disney did the Mickey Mouse statues for WDW, but with cows. Now I'll have to drag my DH thru the store to check out any new changes!

It seems like everytime I go there they are rearranging the areas. The Cow parade sounds like fun. My favorite room is where the seconds are but this last time they didn't have much.

Do you remember when you used to be able to go up to the second floor?

Safetymom - Sure, I remember the 2nds area on the 2nd floor. I remember back when the building was just the original small building. It's been fun watching it expand and change over the years.

Just so everyone knows - Yankee Candle is great to the community in which they "live". They have made many contributions to the town of Deerfield - like an ambulance, many college scholarships to local kids and other things to help out the town. They employ a lot of local people, and while the pay may not be the greatest, they are very generous with their benefits/perks.

I don't go back to Yankee that far.

I sometimes wish I lived closer but then all my extra money would be in candles. :)
